Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 5th January, 1893.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-mentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate, of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of 10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 5957.—21st December, 1892.—CHARLES BURGON and HARRY BURGON, both of Malin Bridge, near Sheffield, York, England, Sheep-shear Manufacturers. An invention for improvements in apparatus for clipping sheep or other animals. (Specifications, 12s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)

No. 5958.—21st December, 1892.—WILLIAM SILVER, of Tamworth, New South Wales, Engineer, NATHAN COHEN, of the same place, Stock and Station Agent, and BENJAMIN FRANCIS MARKS, of Sydney, in the said colony, Merchant. An invention for improvements in machines for shearing and clipping wool and cutting hair. (Specifications, £1; drawings, £2.)

No. 5960.—21st December, 1892.—JOHN JOSEPH HARRISON, of 83, New Oxford Street, County of Middlesex, England, Designer and Draughtsman. An invention for improvements in and connection with receptacles for matches and other articles, and for exhibiting advertisements, photographs, or the like. (Specifications, 9s.; drawings, £1.)

No. 5961.—21st December, 1892.—SAMUEL PURDIE, of No. 10, Gibden Street, Burnley, near Melbourne, Victoria, Mineralogist. An invention for a process and apparatus for manufacturing tannin or tan-liquor from wood. (Specifications, 12s.; drawings, £1.)

No. 5963.—17th December, 1892.—FREDERICK WALTER PAGE, of Chertsey, Canterbury, New Zealand, Labourer. An invention for a fencing-staple, to be called “Page’s Fencing-staple.” (Specifications, 1s. 6d.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5964.—20th December, 1892.—HENRY ABEL FLATMAN, of 27, Queen Street, Christchurch, New Zealand, Engineer. An invention for a protecting and strengthening attachment for brooms. (Specifications, 2s.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5965.—21st December, 1892.—WILLIAM MCFARLANE, Plumber, and DAVID BOWER, Tinsmith, both of Caversham, New Zealand. An invention for testing the power of a hand-grip, and entitled “Penny-in-slot Grip-machine.” (Specifications, 2s. 6d.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5966.—23rd December, 1892.—FRANK CURTIS, Kirkwood House, Moray Place, Dunedin, New Zealand, Manufacturer. An invention for a medicine to be called “Frank Curtis’ Ficine,” for the cure of constipation. (Specifications, 1s. 6d.)

No. 5971.—28th December, 1892.—ROBERT KILPATRICK, of Main Street, Lilydale, Victoria, Gentleman (Assignee of John Birchall, of No. 34, Queen Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Civil Engineer). An invention for improvements in electrical apparatus for sending either automatic or telephonic messages to a fire-engine-house or other station. (Specifications, £3 13s.; drawings, £2 10s.)
