Land Transfer Act Notice.
NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of land herein-after described will be brought under the provisions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 29th day of January, 1894.

Private Advertisements.
IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND DISTRICT.
In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882”; and in the matter of the Commercial Property and Finance Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 15th day of December, 1893, confirming the cancellation and reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £249,310 to £111,810, and the minute, approved by the Court, showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above statute, were registered by the Registrar of Joint-stock Companies, at Dunedin, on the 18th day of December, 1893. And notice is further given that the said minute is in the words and figures following, namely:—
“The capital of the Commercial Property and Finance Company (Limited) is from henceforth £111,810, divided into 24,770 shares of £4 10s. each, on 24,565 of which the sum of 10s. has been and is to be deemed paid up, the remaining 205 shares being unissued, and 46 shares of £7 10s. each, on each of which the sum of £2 10s. has been and is to be deemed paid up; instead of the former capital of £249,310, divided into 49,770 shares of £5 each and 46 shares of £10 each.”

I, ROBERT NAIRN, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of London, now residing in Napier, hereby give notice that I intend applying, on the 25th January next, to have my name placed on the Medical Register for the Colony of New Zealand, and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar at Napier.

LAND TAKEN FOR PUBLIC WORKS.
WHEREAS certain lands are required by the Westport Harbour Board for the purpose of carrying on the harbour-works at Westport aforesaid: Notice is hereby given that a plan of the said lands, together with a description of the works proposed to be executed and the lands required to be taken, has been deposited at the office of the said Board, at Westport aforesaid; and, further, that all persons must set forward in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and must send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the said Board.
Dated at Westport this 21st day of December, 1893.

THE BLUFF AND FOVEAUX STRAITS FISHING AND OYSTERING COMPANY (LIMITED).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above company held in Golden Age Hotel, Bluff, on Saturday, 16th December, 1893, at 8 p.m., it was unanimously resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Messrs. A. G. Macara and G. A. Whealler be appointed Liquidators.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.
For statements under the Mining Act the charge is 2s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 10 per cent.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.
