Land Transfer Act Notices.

A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a provisional certificate of title for part of Allotment 7, Section 22, City of Auckland, described in Vol. xxx., folio 280, of the Register-book, and evidence having been lodged as to the loss of the original certificate, I hereby give notice that I will issue the certificate, as requested, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 23rd day of February, 1893.

Mining Notices.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the matter of the Otara Gold-dredging Company (Limited).
N OTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above-named Otara Gold-dredging Company (Limited), held at the registered office of the company, Exchange Court, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 26th day of January, 1893, for the purpose of considering the question of a voluntary winding-up of the said company, the following resolutions were passed:—

  1. “That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions in that behalf of ‘The Companies Act, 1882.’”
  2. “That Mr. William Elder, of Dunedin, the Secretary of the said company, be appointed Liquidator of the same.”

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments, and of the Invicta Gold-mining Company (Limited).
N OTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 2nd day of February, 1893, presented to the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Auckland, by the Kuaotunu Quartz-crushing Company (Limited), a creditor of the said company, by William Gray and George Cozens, Accountants, both of the City of Auckland, New Zealand, the Liquidators, on behalf of the said Kuaotunu Quartz-crushing Company (Limited); and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 6th day of March, 1893, at 12 o’clock noon; and any creditor or contributory of the said Invicta Gold-mining Company (Limited) desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the same under the above Acts should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

N OTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 202 of the above-mentioned Act, that a General Meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at my office, Princes Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 18th day of April, 1893, at 8 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator; and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.
