Sections 2 to 7, undulating lands, covered with fern, rushes, and flax. Sections 9 to 13, undulating, with fair soil, covered with mixed forest, and most of the sections contain some kauri. Sections 15 to 18, open undulating lands, on the Aponga Stream, and comprising good clay soil, covered with fern and flax. Each section has a small area of bush.
