Altering Boundaries of Norsewood and Takapau Road
Districts; (2) Merging Ormondville Road District.

THE following special orders, made by the Waipawa
County Council, are published in accordance with
"The Counties Act, 1886."

SPECIAL ORDER.
RESOLVED, That it be a special order of the Waipawa
County Council that the present boundaries of the Takapau
and Norsewood Road Districts be abolished, and the following
be substituted boundaries in lieu thereof: this order to
take effect from date of gazetting same:-
Takapau Road District Boundaries: All that area in the
Land District of Hawke's Bay, commencing at the junction
of the Maharakeke Stream with the Makaretu River; and
bounded generally towards the east and south by the Maharakeke Stream and Blocks 84, 65, 83, and 70, Blocks VII.
and XI., Takapau Survey District, to the Waikopiro Stream;
then down the Waikopiro Stream to its junction with the
Manawatu River; thence up the Manawatu River to the
Norsewood-Takapau Road; thence along that road in a
northerly direction to the junction of the Old and New
Norsewood-Takapau Roads; thence by a straight line due
north to the Makaretu River; thence up the Makaretu
River to the western boundary-line of Block 282, Block
XIII., Ruataniwha Survey District; thence towards the
west by that boundary-line to the Mangatewai River; thence
down the Mangatewai River to the south-west boundary of
Block 105, aforesaid survey district; thence by the south-western and western boundary-lines of that block; thence
by the northern and eastern boundary-lines of Block 13 and
the southern boundary-line of Block 14, aforesaid survey
district; thence along the western, northern, and north-western boundary-lines of Block 105 to the Tangatewai Stream; thence by the western boundary-line of Block 115;
thence by the southern and western boundary-lines of
Block 109; thence by the southern and western boundary-lines of Block 235; thence by the southern and western
boundary-lines of Block 218; thence by the western and
northern boundary-lines of Block 280; thence by the
western, northern, and eastern boundary-lines of Block 277;
thence by the northern boundary-line of Block 275; thence
by the western and northern boundary-lines of Block 237;
thence by the north-western boundary-line of Block 115;
thence by the south-western and north-western boundary-lines of Block 278; thence by the south-western and north-western boundary-lines of Block 286; and thence by the
southern boundary-line of Block 283 to the Tukipo River;
then down the Tukipo River to its junction with the
Makaretu River; thence up the Makaretu River to the
confluence of the Maharakeke Stream to the place of commencement.
Norsewood Road District Boundaries: All that area in
the Land District of Hawke's Bay, commencing at the
north-east corner of the Otanga-Manawatu No. 4B Block at
the Mangatewainui Stream; and bounded on the south
generally by the Danevirk Road District; on the west generally by the summit of the Ruahine Range to the source of
the Makaretu River; thence down that river to a point due
north from the junction of the Norsewood-Takapau Old
and New Roads; thence by a line due south to the junction
of the Norsewood-Takapau Old and New Roads; thence
along the new road in a southerly direction to the Manawatu River; thence down the Manawatu River to the
confluence of the Kahututaeatua Stream; thence generally
towards the east by the Ormondville Road District to the
place of commencement.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the County of Waipawa was hereto affixed in
the presence of
W. C. SMITH, Chairman.
