to the road at the southernmost corner of Section No. 9617, Waimate Survey District; thence by that road along the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 9617, 6995, and 6997 to Section No. 16692; thence by the road intersecting that section and its continuation past Sections Nos. 17748, 17655, 17654, 17749, 17653, 17652, 20666, and 24459 to Section No. 17729; thence by the road intersecting the last-mentioned section and its continuation through Sections Nos. 17728, 22852, 22033, 17732, and 18103, Waimate Survey District; thence by the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 18021, and that road continued through the said Section No. 18021, and past Sections Nos. 19001, 22031, 22849, 18834, 18380, 10510, 22688, 18999, 18998, 22886, and 24709, to the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 28854, Otaio Survey District, and thence by that boundary-line to the Otaio River; thence by that river to its source; thence by a line due west to the north branch of the Waihao River; thence by the said north branch to its source; thence by a line due west to the Hakateramea River; thence by that river to its source; thence again towards the south-east by a right line to Hakateramea Pass; thence by a right line over Trig. Station Q, Hewling’s Survey District, to the Waitaki River; thence again towards the south-west and towards the west generally by the Waitaki River, the Ohau River, the eastern shore of Lake Ohau, and the Hopkins River to its source; thence by a line due west to the summit of the Southern Alps; and thence towards the north-west by the Westland Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the Rangitata Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement.

TIMARU.

This district is bounded towards the north-west and north by the Pareora Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the road which forms the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 18872 to the ocean; towards the south-east by the ocean to a point due east of the mouth of the Otipua Creek; thence towards the south by a right line to the mouth of that creek; thence towards the south-west by the said Otipua Creek to the road which forms the north-western boundary of Rural Section No. 1690; thence again towards the south generally by that road and its continuation through Rural Sections Nos. 2407 and 3753, and past Sections Nos. 8167, 8838, 9635, 9743, 10702, 12244, 12464, 15736, 15928, 14376, 15803, 14784, 15520, 15801, 15800, 15790, 15757, and 12711 to the road which forms the western boundary of Rural Section No. 16050; thence again towards the south-west generally by the last-mentioned road and its continuation in a generally northerly direction past Rural Sections Nos. 15800, 15652, 15661, 15656, 16087, 15860, 21989, 25492, 20764, 25882, and 25533 to the road at the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 18872.

WAITAKI.

This district is bounded towards the north-east generally by the Pareora Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the east by the ocean to the right bank of the Waitaki River; thence towards the south by the said right bank to the Main Trunk Railway-line; thence towards the south-east by the said railway-line to the eastern boundary of Block IV., Papakaio Survey District; thence towards the west and towards the south by the said Block IV.; again towards the west and again towards the south and east by Block III., Papakaio Survey District, to the road leading from Peebles to Duntroun; thence by the said Block III. and Block I., Papakaio Survey District; again towards the south by Blocks XII., XVI., and XV., Oamaru Survey District, and Block III., Kauroo Survey District; again towards the east by the last-mentioned block; again towards the north by the said Block III.; again towards the east by Block XIV., Oamaru Survey District, to the Kauroo River; thence again towards the south-east by the said Kauroo River; again towards the east by Block I., Kauroo Survey District, and Block VII., Otepopo Survey District, to Island Stream; thence towards the north-west and north generally by that stream to the eastern boundary-line of the Township of Maheno; thence again towards the south-east generally by the eastern, southern, and western boundary-lines of the said Township of Maheno and by the Main Trunk Railway-line to the Township of Herbert; thence by part of the northern, the whole of the western, and part of the southern boundary-lines of that township to the railway-line aforesaid; thence by the said railway-line to the north branch of the Waianakarua River; thence again towards the south generally by the said branch to the western boundary-line of Block XIV., Otepopo Survey District; thence again towards the east by the said Block XIV. and Blocks XII. and XI., Otepopo Survey District, to the south branch of the Waianakarua River; thence again towards the south-west generally by Block XV., Moeraki Survey District, Block III., Waihemo Survey District, and by the summit of the Kakanui Mountains, through the Maruwhenua Pass, to Kyeburn Hill; thence by the summit of the main range leading to Mount Ida; and thence by the summit of the Hawkdun Mountains to a point due east of Mount St. Bathans; thence by a line drawn due west to the said Mount St. Bathans; thence by the summit of the range through the Lindis Pass to Longslip Hill; thence by the summit of the range leading to the watershed between the Rivers Ahuriri and Hunter; and thence by that watershed and the watershed between the said River Hunter and the Hopkins River to the Hunter Saddle; and thence again towards the north-west by the Westland Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the Pareora Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement.

OAMARU.

This district is bounded towards the west and north generally by the Waitaki Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the south-east by the ocean to the mouth of the Kakanui River; thence towards the south generally by the right bank of that river and the Waitaki Electoral District aforesaid.

WAIHEMO.

This district is bounded towards the north-east and north-west generally by the Waitaki Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from Mount St. Bathans to the Kakanui River; towards the north by the Oamaru Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the ocean; thence towards the south-east by the ocean; towards the south by Block I., Hawksbury Survey District; thence towards the west and again towards the south by Blocks II. and VII., Hawksbury Survey District, to Pleasant River; thence towards the south-west generally by that river to a point due south of Taieri Peak; thence by a right line to the said Taieri Peak; thence by a line due west to the north branch of the Waikouaiti River; thence by that branch to the southern boundary-line of Block I., Highlay Survey District; thence by Budle Survey District and Rock and Pillar Survey District respectively to the main road leading from Hyde to Macrae’s; thence by that road to the Taieri River; thence again towards the south-east generally by the right bank of the said Taieri River to the north-eastern boundary-line of the Forest Plantation Reserve, in Block II., Strath-Taieri Survey District; thence again towards the south-west by the said Plantation Reserve and Run No. 213A (educational endowment) to its north-western corner; thence again towards the south-east by the said Run No. 213A to Rock and Pillar Mountain; thence by a right line to Soutra Hill; thence by the summit of the leading ridge to Lammerlaw; thence towards the west generally by the summit of the Lammerlaw Range and the summit of Rough Ridge to South Rough Ridge Hill; thence by a right line to North Rough Ridge Hill; thence by the summit of Rough Ridge to the north-eastern boundary of Run No. 261; thence again towards the south-west by that run and Block III., Poolburn Survey District, to Ida Burn; thence by the said Ida Burn to its confluence with the Manuherikia River; thence by that river to Lauder Creek; thence by that creek to its source; thence towards the north-west by a right line to a peak (geodesical station) between the Dunstan Pass and Dunstan Peak; and thence by a right line to Mount St. Bathans.

WAIKOUAITI.

This district is bounded towards the north-east by the Waihemo Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the south-east, north, and south generally by the ocean to a point in line with the eastern side of the Forbury Road, St. Clair; towards the south-west by a right line to and thence by the said Forbury Road to the southern boundary-line of Application No. 12, Block XII., Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence again towards the north generally by that application and Victoria Road to the western boundary of Section No. 27, Block VII., Otago Peninsula; thence by the said Section No. 27; towards the south-west generally by that section and Section No. 7 of the said Block VII. to Section No. 79; thence by the last-mentioned section and Sections Nos. 80, 70, and 69 to View Street, St. Kilda; thence towards the north-west by a line being the production of the southern side of View Street to Anderson’s Bay; thence by Anderson’s Bay and Otago Harbour to the northernmost corner of the reserve in Block VI., Portobello Bay Survey District; thence again towards the south-west by a right line across Otago Harbour to the easternmost corner of Section No. 4, Lower Harbour West Survey District; thence again towards the south-east by Carey’s Bay and the Town Belt of Port Chalmers to Section No. 62, Sawyer’s Bay Survey District; thence again towards the south-west and south-east generally by the said Sawyer’s Bay Survey District to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 43 of the said district; thence again towards the north-east by that road and its continuation past Sections Nos. 41, 39, 37, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12, Sawyer’s Bay District, to the main road leading from Dunedin to Port Chalmers; thence again towards the south by that road to Section No. 82, North-east Valley Survey District; thence again towards the south-
