Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Wellington, 15th September, 1892.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-mentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate, of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of 10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 5336.—12th December, 1891.—THOMAS FREEMAN BRENCHLEY, of Mauriceville, New Zealand, Limeburner. An invention for destroying various kinds of blight on fruit-trees and ornamental shrubs, and exterminating field and garden insect-pests, called “Brenchley’s Fertiliser and Farm and Garden Insecticide.” (Specification, 5s.)*

No. 5426.—13th February, 1892.—ROBERT BOYLE, of 64, Holborn Viaduct, London, England, Engineer. An invention for improvements in, ventilators. (Specification, 15s.; drawings, 5s.)*

No. 5743.—29th August, 1892.—WILLIAM ANDREWS and ARTHUR WARD BEAVEN, both of Christchurch, New Zealand, Engineers. An invention for improved clover- and seed-cleaner. (Specification, 8s. 6d.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5747.—2nd September, 1892.—DONALD ARCHIBALD DOUGLAS, of Blenheim, New Zealand, Architect. An invention entitled “Automatic Thermo Electric Annunciator.” (Specification, 2s. 6d.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5749.—2nd September, 1892.—FREDERICK WILLIAM GOUGH, of Christchurch, New Zealand, Engineer. An invention for an improved method of mounting the body or seat on the wheels of invalid-carriages or other similar light vehicles. (Specification, 3s. 6d.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5752.—7th September, 1892.—ELIHU THOMSON, of Swampscott, Massachusetts, United States of America, Electrician. An invention for improvements in incandescent electric lamps. (Specification, 12s.; drawings, 10s.)

No. 5753.—7th September, 1892.—WALTER H. KNIGHT, of Newton, and WILLIAM B. POTTER, of Lynn, both in Massachusetts, United States of America, Electricians. An invention for methods of regulating electrically-driven mechanism, and apparatus for putting the same into operation. (Specification, £1 8s.; drawings, £2.)

No. 5754.—7th September, 1892.—GEORGE MASSEY, of Post-office Chambers, Pitt Street, Sydney, New South Wales. An invention for improvements in machines for clipping and shearing sheep and cutting hair. (Specification, 15s.; drawings, £1 15s.)

No. 5756.—5th September, 1892.—RICHARD RADCLIFFE TAYLOR, carrying on business under the style of “The Zealandia Waterproof Company,” at High Street, Dunedin, New Zealand, Waterproof Manufacturer. An invention entitled “Taylor’s Ventilated Waterproof Horse-cover.” (Specification, 2s.)

No. 5758.—6th September, 1892.—JOHN LAWSON, of Berwick, Otago, New Zealand, Engineer. An invention for water-lifting, entitled “Lawson’s Pulsion Wheel.” (Specification, 4s.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5760.—8th September, 1892.—GILBERT ANDERSON, of Christchurch, New Zealand, Freezing-works Manager. An invention for an appliance for automatically weighing and grading carcases of meat on a rail-track without removing the carcases from such rail-track. (Specification, 5s. 6d.; drawings, 5s.)

NOTE.—The cost of transcribing the specification and an estimate of the amount required for copying the drawings have been inserted after the notice of each application. Any order for a copy or copies should be accompanied by a post-office order or postal notes for the cost of copying.

An asterisk (*) denotes the complete specification of an invention for which a provisional specification has been already lodged.

The date of acceptance of each application is given after the number.
