Land set apart for Village Homesteads in the Canterbury Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do, by this Proclamation, set apart the sections of land described in the Schedule hereto, and declare that the same shall be open for special settlement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

Village-homestead Special-settlement Land in Southland withdrawn from the Perpetual-leasing System and opened as a Village-settlement Small-farm Lot.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the sixth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Proclamation of the seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, so far as it relates to the section mentioned in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby revoked; and do proclaim and declare that the said section is hereby withdrawn from the village-homestead special-settlement system.
And, in pursuance of the provisions of the one hundred and sixty-sixth section of the said Act, I do hereby set apart the said section as a village-settlement lot, upon the terms and conditions set forth in an Order in Council to be made under the one hundred and sixty-seventh section of the said Act.
