THE following special order was passed by a meeting of the Patea West Road Board, held at Kakaramea, on the 6th day of November, 1891, and confirmed on the 22nd day of January, 1892:—
Resolved, That this Board adopt the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

THE following special order, made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT a special order be made making a special rate of 1½d. in the pound of the capital value of all property liable to be rated under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” included within that portion of the Upper Wangaehu Road District bounded by a line commencing at the south-west corner of Section 4, Heao Block; thence by the boundary of the road district and the Murimotu Run on the west, north, east, and south to the south-east corner of the Taumarua Block; thence by a right line to the Koukopu Stream; thence by the Koukopu Stream to the north-east boundary of Run 68, Ngamatea Survey District; thence by the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of the said Run 68, Ngamatea Survey District, to Hale’s Road; thence by Hale’s Road to the southern boundary of the Matawhitia Block; thence westward by the southern boundary of the Matawhitia Block, the Wangaehu River, and the southern boundary of Run 4, Heao Block, to the starting-point. The said rate to be for the purpose of providing principal and interest for a loan of £5,000 obtained under the provisions of the said Acts; and shall be an annually-recurring rate, payable in two equal half-yearly instalments on the 1st day of May, 1893, and the 1st day of November, 1893, and on the same dates of each year following, until the loan in respect of which the said rate is made is paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with the provisions of sections 75 and 76 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” at a meeting of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, held at Mangamahu, on Saturday, the 2nd July, 1892.

THE following special order, made by the Waimata Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

WAIMATA ROAD BOARD.
THAT a special rate of five farthings in the pound be made on all rateable property within the special rating district known as the Waimata River Special District, and comprising the following sections, viz.: Sections 8 and 9, Whataupoko H; Section 29, Whataupoko G; Sections 1 and 2, Waimata South; Sections 24A and 27A of Pouawa B; Section 25 of Pouawa A; Section 27B of Pouawa B; Section 26B of Pouawa A; and Section 26A of Pouawa A. The said rate shall be for the period of twenty-six years, commencing on the 1st of April, 1892, and ending the 31st day of March, 1918, and shall be set apart for the purpose of providing interest upon a sum of £1,200, to be obtained in terms of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” to carry out the particular public works set forth in the proposal agreed to by a resolution of the ratepayers of the said special district, at a poll taken on the 21st day of March, 1892. The rate so struck shall be a recurring rate, due and payable in two equal instalments on the 1st day of April and October in each year.
