Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 12th May, 1892.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-tioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate, of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of 10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 5059.—20th June, 1891.—THOMAS WHETTER, Carpenter, and MICHAEL SEALE, Company Secretary, both of Petersham, near Sydney, New South Wales. An invention for improved apparatus for controlling and adjusting sliding-sashes in window-screens and such like. (Specification, £1 4s. 6d.; drawings, £1 5s.)

No. 5126.—1st August, 1891.—PAUL ROACH, of Timaru, New Zealand, Farmer. An invention entitled “The Farmers’ Friend: Combined Farm-dray and Farm-yard Manure- and Lime-distributer.” (Specification, 2s. 6d.; drawings, 10s.)*

No. 5528.—23rd April, 1892.—JAMES GORRIE, of Stratford, Taranaki, New Zealand, Coachbuilder. An invention for reducing noise in the use of a chamber, called “A Silent Chamber.” (Specification, 2s.; drawings, 3s.)*

No. 5534.—29th April, 1892.—FRANCIS ARENAS, of Christ-church, New Zealand, Hotel Proprietor. An invention for a bedroom-indicator, to indicate the requirements of lodgers. (Specification, 15s.; drawings, 10s.)

No. 5535.—2nd May, 1892.—THOMAS MURRAY, of Crossburn, Mangapai, Auckland, New Zealand, Settler. An invention for facilitating loading of wheeled vehicles, entitled “Loading made Easy.” (Specification, 3s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)

No. 5536.—3rd May, 1892.—JOHN TYACK SANDELL, of 10, Pall Mall, London, England, General Manager of R. W. Thomas and Company (Limited), Photographic Manufacturers. An invention for an improvement in the manufacture of sensitive plates and films of other media for photographic purposes. (Specification, 6s.)

No. 5537.—3rd May, 1892.—CHARLES AUGUSTUS POOLEY, of No. 24, West Seneca Street, Buffalo, State of New York, United States of America, Attorney-at-law. An invention for improvements in automatic couplings for railway coaches, trucks, wagons, cars, and like vehicles. (Specification, £1 2s. 6d.; drawings, 12s. 6d.)

No. 5539.—3rd May, 1892.—GEORGE SUISTED, of Campbelltown, Wellington, New Zealand, and CHARLES DAHL, of Palmerston North, Wellington, aforesaid, Sailmaker. An invention entitled “Suisted and Dahl’s Champion Diamond Butter-mould.” (Specification, 2s. 6d.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5540.—5th May, 1892.—HENRY EDWARD ARTHUR MINCHIN and HENRY O’HARA, both of Waddington, Canterbury, New Zealand, Farmers. An invention for an improved horse throat- and stomach-protector. (Specification, 8s. 6d.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5543.—7th May, 1892.—JABEZ TURTON, of No. 9, Norfolk Street, Strand, London, England, Metallurgist. An invention for a process for extraction of metals from ores and minerals containing them. (Specification, 2s. 6d.)

No. 5545.—5th May, 1892.—HENRY E. ABBOTT, of Dunedin, New Zealand, Builder and Contractor. An invention for making and packing bags with any material, entitled “The Universal Bag-maker.” (Specification, 3s. 6d.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)
