No. 26795, a distance of 604·7 links; on the south-east by a
railway reserve, a distance of 678·7 links; on the south-west
by Section No. 26795, a distance of 375·6 links; and on the
north-west by a road, a distance of 246 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christ-
church. For a gravel-pit for the use of the inhabitants of
the Alford District.

SOUTHLAND.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District,
containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Sec-
tion No. 21, Block III., Kingston Survey District. Bounded
on the north by Section No. 3 of Block III., 348 links; on
the east by Section No. 3 of Block III., 450 links; on the
south by Section No. 2 of Block III., 550 links; and on the
west by a road-line, 494·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited
in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill. For a
public cemetery under “The Cemeteries Act, 1882.”

As witness the hand of his Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government, this twenty-sixth day of
April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
two.

Additional Post-office Money-order Regulations.

WHEREAS by section seven of “The Post Office Act,
1881,” it is, among other things, provided that the
Governor may from time to time make regulations to be
applicable within the colony, and may make, or cause to be
made, arrangements with the constituted authorities in
England, or in any of Her Majesty’s colonies or possessions,
or in any foreign country, for the transmission, through the
medium of the post, of any money to or from any place
whatsoever, and for the delivery and payment of the same,
and may establish rates of payment for such transmission,
and may make such regulations as may be expedient or
necessary for carrying such arrangements into effect:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of
the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the
hereinbefore in part recited Act, and of all other powers and
authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby make the
following regulations, that is to say:—

  1. On and after the 1st May, 1892, any single money-order
    may be issued in New Zealand, for payment in Australia or
    Tasmania, of a sum not exceeding £20 sterling, and any
    money-order issued in Australia or Tasmania for payment in
    New Zealand, of a sum not exceeding £20 sterling, may be
    paid in New Zealand.

The commission to be charged on every money-order issued
in New Zealand for transmission to and payment in Australia
or Tasmania shall be,—

For sums not exceeding £2 . . . . 0 6
For sums exceeding £2, but not exceeding £5 . . . . 1 0
Exceeding £5, but not exceeding £7 . . . . 1 6
Exceeding £7, but not exceeding £10 . . . . 2 0
Exceeding £10, but not exceeding £12 . . . . 2 6
Exceeding £12, but not exceeding £15 . . . . 3 0
Exceeding £15, but not exceeding £17 . . . . 3 6
Exceeding £17, but not exceeding £20 . . . . 4 0

  1. It is also provided that, on and after the said 1st May,
    1892, any single money-order may be issued in New Zealand,
    for payment in New Zealand, of a sum not exceeding £20
    sterling.

  2. The commission to be charged on every money-order
    issued in New Zealand for payment in New Zealand shall
    be,—

For sums not exceeding £5 . . . . 0 6
Exceeding £5, but not exceeding £10 . . . . 1 0
Exceeding £10, but not exceeding £15 . . . . 1 6
Exceeding £15, but not exceeding £20 . . . . 2 0

And the rates of payment above set forth are hereby esta-
blished accordingly.

  1. The general regulations for the time being in force
    within the colony, and applicable to the issue and payment
    of post-office money-orders, shall, within the said colony,
    extend and apply to the money-orders the issue and pay-
    ment of which are sanctioned by the regulations herein-

before set forth; and all regulations and orders at variance
with these regulations are hereby revoked.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James
Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, the Adminis-
trator of the Government of Her Majesty’s Colony
of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of
the said Colony, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of April, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-two.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries
Act, 1882,” I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the
Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby ap-
point the several persons whose names are specified in the
first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to have
the maintenance and care of the cemetery specified in the
second column of the said Schedule.

to be Trustees, in the place of Mr. D. Caro, deceased, Mr. T.
Ballantyne, resigned, and the Reverend H. C. M. Watson,
absent from the colony, to provide for the maintenance and
care of the Christchurch Public Cemetery, in conjunction
with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand
of His Excellency the Governor on the tenth day of October,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government, this twenty-sixth day
of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
two.

trator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint the several persons whose names are men-
tioned in the Schedule hereto to constitute Boards of
Review of Assessments under “The Land and Income
Assessment Act, 1891;” and I do further appoint that each
of the groups of three of the said persons respectively men-
tioned in the said Schedule, and bracketed together, shall
respectively form a Board of Review of Assessments under
“The Land and Income Assessment Act, 1891.”
