Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 14th April, 1892.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been ac-
cepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate,
of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in
such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of
10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 5024.—4th June, 1891.—THOMAS BRINING and GEORGE
LISTER, of Leeds, England, Boot and Shoe Engineers. An
invention for improvements in or relating to machines for
feeding and driving tacks, rivets, nails, and other similar
fastenings. (Specification, £1 16s. ; drawings, £5.)*

No. 5160.—26th August, 1891.—ALEXANDER MACKIE, of
Vincent Street, Auckland, New Zealand, Coachsmith and
Springmaker. An invention entitled “Mackie’s Improved
Tuyere.” (Specification, 4s. ; drawings, 7s. 6d.)*

No. 5258.—3rd November, 1891.—THOMAS CLEMENT
HODGKINSON, of Ramsden’s Buildings, Elizabeth Street, Mel-
bourne, Victoria, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, and
HENRY THOMAS TOMSITT, of Flinders Street, Melbourne,
aforesaid, Wholesale Druggist. An invention for a new or
improved combined electro-medical apparatus coil and bat-
tery. (Specification, 10s. ; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5315.—1st December, 1891.—GEORGE ANDREWS, of
Jessamine Villa, Willesborough, Kent, England, Engineer.
An invention for improvements in means or apparatus for
trapping animals and birds. (Specification, 8s. ; draw-
ings, 5s.)*

No. 5326.—7th December, 1891.—WALTER COUSENS ALEX-
ANDER, of Grenville House, Boutport Street, Barnstaple,
North Devon, England. An invention for a machine for
separating magnetic ironsand from gold, titanium, and other
foreign matters, for the purpose of obtaining these for use.
(Specification, 8s. ; drawings, 10s.)*

No. 5457.—2nd March, 1892.—SARAH ANN RAYNER, of
Ngunguru, Auckland, New Zealand, Widow, Executrix of
the late Robert Rayner, Engineer. An invention for regu-
lating the speed of marine engines, to be called “Rayner’s
Patent Governor for Marine Engines.” (Specification, 4s. ;
drawings, 5s.)

No. 5496.—1st April, 1892.—ROBERT MARTIN, of Welling-
ton, New Zealand, Painter. An invention entitled “Martin’s
Fire Escape.” (Specification, 4s. 6d. ; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5498.—2nd April, 1892.—WILLIAM SINCLAIR, of Spring-
lands, Marlborough, New Zealand, Plasterer. An invention
for a new kind of building-material, to be called “The Patent
Cavity Block.” (Specification, 1s. 6d. ; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5501.—7th April, 1892.—HENRY PARKINSON and
ARTHUR DUDLEY DOBSON, of Warrnambool, Victoria, Engi-
neers, and EDWARD ASHTON LISTER, of Dursley, Gloucester-
shire, England, temporarily residing at the South Melbourne
Coffee Palace, Albert Park, near Melbourne, Victoria afore-
said, Manufacturer. An invention for an improved coupling
for connecting shafts or poles to vehicles. (Specification,
9s. ; drawings, 10s.)

No. 5504.—7th April, 1892.—PARNELL RABBDGE, of
Sydney, New South Wales, Electrician. An invention for an
improved electro-magnetic alarm or call. (Specification, 7s. ;
drawings, 5s.)

lodged.

the number.
