WAIPAWA FACTORY DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the north-east generally by Blocks CLXX., XVIII., XXIII., XLIX., XXXVII., and a road-line passing through Block XXXVII.; towards the south-east by Blocks XXXVIII., XXI., XXII., and XLIV.; towards the south-west by the Waipawa River; and towards the west generally by Blocks LXV., LXX.A, LXXIV., LXXV., CXXXVII., CCX., and CLXXII.A: all of Waipukurau Survey District.

WAIPUKURAU FACTORY DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the north, north-west, and north-east generally by Blocks V., IV., X., LXXXI., LXXI., XII., and south-west boundary-line of Block XII. produced to the Tukituki River; towards the south-east by that river; towards the north-east and again towards the south-east by a right line to the western corner of Block XV., and by that block and Block XVII.; towards the west and again towards the south-east by Block LXII. and Application No. 2346; again towards the west by Block XLVIII. and its eastern boundary-line produced to the Tukituki River, and a right line to the south-west corner of Block III.: the above blocks being in the Waipukurau and Motuotaria Survey Districts.

TARADALE FACTORY DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the north-east and north-west by the waters of Ahuriri Harbour to the bridge lying about 16 chains north-east of Block CXXIV.; thence generally towards the east by the Tutaekuri River; towards the north by a right line to and by the north side of the road-line north-east of Sections Nos. 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, and of the road-line to the north of Awaapuraho Creek, and by a due east line to the ocean; towards the south-east and south-west by the Waitangi River and Totara Creek, Te Puringa Block, and Pukowhai Block, by Tutaekuri Waimate Creek, by Korokipo Block and Sections Nos. 1 and 7, across a road to the Tutaekuri River, and by a due north line across that river, by that river; and towards the north-west by Blocks LIV., X., XI., XXVI., XXVII., and Section No. 11 at Ohuarau: all in the Heretaunga Survey District.

BALCLUTHA FACTORY DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the west generally by the road-line bounding Sections Nos. 80, 81, and 82 of Waitepeka Estate, and passing by and through Section No. 9, Block XXXIV., Clutha Survey District, Sections Nos. 10 and 12, Block XXXIII., again through said Section No. 9, and through Section No. 11, Block XXXIV., through Section Nos. 1, 3, 6, and 8, Block XXXVI., and by Sections Nos. 8, 10, and 11 of said block, across a road-line to the Clutha River; towards the north-west and north generally by a right line to the north-west corner of Section No. 36, Block II., Hillend Survey District, and by Sections Nos. 37, 38, 39, 40, and 41, across a road, by Sections Nos. 20, 2 of 12, and 1 of 12 of said Block II., and by a road-line bounding Sections Nos. 38, 39, and 40, Block I., 12, 2 of 13, 14, Block VI., 36, 1 of 21, 2 of 21, 1 of 20, 2 of 20, 22, 23, and 3, Block I., Hillend Survey District; towards the east generally by South Tuakitoto Survey District to the railway-line at Section No. 7, Block I., Hillend Survey District, by Block X., South Tuakitoto Survey District, across the lake, and by Block VI., by Blocks V. and VIII., Kaitangata Survey District, and Blocks VIII. and IX., Coast Survey District; towards the south-east by the sea; towards the south-west generally by the right bank of the Koau Branch of the Clutha River, by Section No. 15, Block XXII., Clutha Survey District, and by the Southern Trunk Railway-line to the road at Waitepeka, first mentioned.

MARTON FACTORY DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the north generally by the northern boundary-line of Section No. 65, by the Tutanui Stream, by a road-line passing through Sections Nos. 9, 37, and on through Section No. 13, and by the southern boundary-line of the last-named section to the Porewa Stream; towards the east by that stream and the Rangitikei River; towards the south by the railway-line to the northern boundary-line of Section No. 58, and by Whales’s Line; towards the west and north-west by Lots Nos. 57, 30, 23, 22, Sections Nos. 63, 68, and a road-line passing through Sections Nos. 67, 66, and 65, and forming part of the western boundary of last-named section: all within the Wangaehu and Rangitoto Survey Districts.

GORE FACTORY DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the south-west and north-west generally by the Charlton Stream and a road-line bounding Sections Nos. 454, 457, 456, 122, 252, 488, 489, 490, 491, 492, through Section No. 493, and continuing past Sections Nos. 175, 227, and through Section No. 272H, Mokonui Survey District, by Otamita Stream, by Sections Nos. 15, 287, and the Waimea Stream to the Mataura River; towards the north-east by that river and by a right line to the south boundary-line of the Charlton Survey District; towards the north by that district; towards the east by Blocks III. and VI., Waikaka Survey District; and towards the south by Blocks XII. and XIII., said district, and by a due west line across the Mataura River; and towards the south-east by that river.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of March, 1892.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor in Council by Horatio Nelson Walker, as successor to Mata Whareaupaki, the Native owner of the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land contained in the Crown grant, bearing date the seventh day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, described in the first column of the said Schedule, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has reported that the provisions of the law in that behalf have been complied with: And whereas it appears expedient to grant such application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by “The Native Land Act, 1888,” and acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant on the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.

Crown grant No. 5261, T. 19, page 124, dated 7th October, 1884, in favour of Mata Whareaupaki, and containing the following restrictions: “Inalienable for a longer period than twenty-one years, except with the consent of the Governor.” All that parcel of land in the Taranaki District, containing 250 acres, and known as Section 63, Block X., Mimi Survey District.

WHEREAS regulations for fishing for trout, perch, and tench in all the waters of the Canterbury, South Canterbury, and Geraldine Acclimatisation Districts were made by Orders in Council under “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), the said Orders in Council being dated the nineteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, the tenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, and the twenty-third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, respectively:

And whereas it is desirable that the period during which it is lawful to fish for trout provided by the said regulations should be extended until the fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two:
