Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Wellington, 3rd March, 1892.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-mentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate, of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of 10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 4928.—4th April, 1891.—MOSES BATE, of Brighton Road, Parnell, Auckland, New Zealand, Millwright. An invention for an improvement for the separating of iron, or any magnetic materials from any other materials by magnetic attraction. (Specification, 5s. 6d.; drawings, 3s.)*

No. 5283.—12th November, 1891.—ALEXANDER BRUNS, Chemist, and FRANZ NEUBERT, Merchant, of Halle à Salle, Prussia, German Empire. An invention for a process for producing sparkling wines, and apparatus therefor. (Specification, 9s.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5431.—15th February, 1892.—ALEXANDER BURT, of Cumberland Street, Dunedin, New Zealand, Metal Merchant. An invention for a brine-pump, to be called “Burt’s Compressed-air Brine-pump,” for preserving and pickling any kind of meat. (Specification, 2s. 6d.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)

No. 5432.—16th February, 1892.—GEORGE PIDDINGTON, of Smith Street, Caversham, New Zealand, Carpenter. An invention for improvements in rim-locks and latches, to be known as “Piddington’s Stapleless Lock.” (Specification, 2s. 6d.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)

No. 5441.—24th February, 1892.—CHRISTIAN KOERSTZ, of Balmain, near Sydney, New South Wales, Mechanical Engineer, and FREDERICK MASON, of Sydney, aforesaid, Implement Importer. An invention for an improved pump. (Specification, 8s.; drawings. 5s.)

No. 5444.—25th February, 1892.—JAMES BALLANTYNE HANNAY, of Cove Castle, Loch Long, Dumbarton, Scotland, Chemical Engineer. An invention for improvements in extracting precious metals from ores or minerals containing them, and apparatus for that purpose. (Specification, 5s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)

No. 5445.—25th February, 1892.—WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON, of No. 94, Darlinghurst Road, Sydney, New South Wales, Metallurgist. An invention for an improved horizontally-oscillating circular-table amalgamating and concentrating machine for treating auriferous and other metalliferous material. An invention for a protector for throats of horses or other similar animals, to be called “The Last Chance Horse Throat-protector.” (Specification, 3s. 6d.; drawing, 3s.)
