NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land
hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act, 1885," unless caveat
be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 4th day of
April, 1892.
2212. EDWARD VILLIERS BRISCOE.-24 7/6 perches,
part of Section 24, Hutt District. In occupation of Applicant.
2218. JANE BUCKERIDGE.-101 acres, part of Opua-
kaio Block (Carterton). In occupation of Applicant.
Diagrams may be inspected at this office.

Private Advertisements.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately
subsisting between us, the undersigned THOMAS
EVERARD UPTON and FRANCIS RUSSELL, carrying on business as Farmers and Stockowners, at Sherwood and Smith-
field, both in the County of Ashburton, and at Springfield, in
the County of Selwyn, under the style or firm of "Upton
and Russell," has been dissolved by mutual consent as from
the 29th day of June, 1889.
As witness our hands, this 29th day of February, 1892.

PATENT OFFICE SUPPLEMENT.

A SEPARATE Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is
now published fortnightly, containing all notices concerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be
gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents,
expired letters patent, and other information useful to inventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will
be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on
payment of a special subscription of ten shillings per annum,
payable in advance to the Government Printer.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.-The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
For statements under the Mining Act the charge is 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o'clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should
be made payable.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are
issued.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.
