THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 19

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Chief Justice of the Colony of New Zealand for the time being, do hereby proclaim and declare that I have this day taken the oaths prescribed by the hereinbefore in part recited Letters Patent before His Honour Christopher William Richmond, Esquire, one of the Judges of the Supreme Court of the said colony, and that I have assumed the administration of the Government of the said colony under and by virtue of Her Majesty’s said Commission.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, Administrator of the Government in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, at the Government House, at Wellington; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this twenty-fifth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.
