Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.
Patent Office,
Wellington, 22nd December, 1892.
COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been ac-
cepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate,
of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in
such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of
10s. is payable with such notice:—
No. 5025.—9th December, 1892.—The Wolseley Sheep-
shearing Machine Company (Limited), of Great Britain,
whose registered office is at No. 4, Sun Court, Cornhill, Lon-
don, England (Assignees of William Barraclough, of Balmain,
near Sydney, New South Wales). An invention for improve-
ments in flexible couplings or joints for toothed-wheel gear-
ing. (Specification, 9s.; drawings, 10s.)
No. 5512.—19th April, 1892.—John Walker Newall, of
Forest Hall, Ongar, Essex, England, Engineer. An inven-
tion for an improved apparatus for clipping hair or wool.

No. 5922.—24th November, 1892.—John Howard Dalton,
of 210, Queen Street, Auckland, New Zealand, Tailor. An
invention entitled "Dalton's Check-measurer;" a contri-
vance to show at sight the measurement of any quantity of
material, sold or unsold, in the soft-goods trade. (Specifica-
tion, 2s.)
No. 5941.—3rd December, 1892.—Alexander Thomson,
of Kelso, Otago, New Zealand, Farmer. An invention for
improvements in agricultural machinery, to be known as
"Thomson's Drill, Grubber, and Thinner." (Specification,
3s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)
No. 5942.—9th December, 1892.—William Thomas Mack,
of Wellington, New Zealand, Plumber. An invention for an
improved telephone-index. (Specification, 3s. 6d.; draw-
ings, 5s.)
No. 5944.—9th December, 1892.—Henry Abel Flatman,
of 27, Queen Street, Christchurch, New Zealand, Engineer.
An invention for automatically recording the commands of
ships' officers and others, with the time each command is
given. (Specification, 5s.; drawings, 10s.)
No. 5949.—15th December, 1892.—John Lang Campbell,
of Bowral, New South Wales, Auctioneer. An invention for
an improved process and means for the preservation of milk.

No. 5950.—15th December, 1892.—John Reilly, of Hurst-
ville, near Sydney, New South Wales, Railway-guard. An
invention for an improved method and means for exhibiting
by night or in darkness white-coloured and parti-coloured
signals, signs, and devices. (Specification, 8s. 6d.; draw-
ings, 10s.)
No. 5955.—15th December, 1892.—Moses Bate, of Brighton
Road, Parnell, Millwright, and Robert Garrett, of Fort
Street, Gum Merchant, both of Auckland, New Zealand. An
invention for an improved apparatus for cleaning kauri gum,
wheat, and some other substances; applicable also for
separating ironsand, quartz, and some other materials.

No. 5956.—21st December, 1892.—Theodore Joshua
Rashleigh, of 266, Barker's Road, Hawthorne, near Mel-
bourne, Victoria, Metal-worker, and John Hern, of 30, Bourke
Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Hygienist. An invention for
improvements in the construction of sanitary utensils for
bedrooms, dry-earth closets, and house slops. (Specification,
11s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)
