OCCUPATION LICENSE UNDER SECTION 230 OF “THE MINING ACT, 1891.”
Know all men that I, [name of Warden], Warden of the Warden’s Court constituted for the [name of district] Mining District, sitting at , do hereby grant unto [name of licensee], his executors, administrators, and assigns [or name of Corporation, their successors and assigns], hereinafter called the licensee, sole and exclusive license and authority to enter upon and occupy for years the piece or parcel of land described in the schedule hereto for [agricultural, horticultural, or dairy] purposes, under and subject to the provisions of “The Mining Act, 1891,” and the regulations made thereunder, paying therefor yearly in advance the sum of pounds shillings and pence.
Provided always, and it is hereby made an express condition, that this license shall be surrendered, and any land occupied by virtue of it given up, by the licensee, upon demand of the Warden or other person duly authorised by the Minister in that behalf, at any time after notice of not less than three months, without any right of compensation accruing to the said licensee, and that the said licensee shall not by virtue of this license have the right to acquire the freehold of any part of the said land.
