Terms of Sale: One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on fall of hammer, and the balance (with Crown-grant fee, usually £1) within thirty days thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land shall henceforth be null and void.

Plans of the sections may be seen at the local post-offices and on application at this office.

Also, at the same time and place, in terms of Part VII. of “The Land Act, 1885,” lease of small Grazing-run No. 10A, Parish of Matata, Whakatane County; area, 6,000 acres. Upset annual rent, £75. Open land with a little puriri in the gullies; situated on the sea-coast between Otamarakau and Whakarewa Rivers, near Matata.

Possession will be given on day of sale.

The purchaser will be required to hand to the auctioneer the declaration required by section 200 of “The Land Act, 1885,” and to pay the first half-year’s rent from the 1st March next, and lease- and registration-fees (£1 11s.) on fall of the hammer.

Conditions of occupation may be seen at the Post-office, Matata, the Land Office, Tauranga, and at this office.


Land for Sale by Auction, Auckland Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned rural sections will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Tauranga, on Wednesday, the 6th January next, at 11 o’clock a.m.:

TAURANGA COUNTY.

Sections 11 and 91A, Parish of Te Papa, containing together 13 acres 2 roods. Upset price, £54.

All open land, close to Wairoa Bridge, and bounded by main coach-road.

Sale of Land in Canterbury.

Christchurch, 10th November, 1891.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned forfeited village-homestead special-settlement sections will be re-opened for application, at this office, on Wednesday, the 6th January, 1892. The leases will be granted for a term of thirty years, renewable, subject to the conditions of residence and occupation prescribed by the Village-homestead Regulations. Each selector must reside on his section within six months of the date of selection, and will also be required to cultivate and make substantial improvements on the land. An advance of £10 will be made by Government after the erection of a dwellinghouse of at least that value. Any person who has an interest in any land of more than an acre in extent in the colony is not eligible to select. No person can hold more than one section. Married men will have preference as selectors. A fee of 10s. for the registration of the lease is payable at the time of application:

These sections comprise level stony land of fair quality, contiguous to the water-race, in the View Hill Village Settlement, and are situated about eight miles from Oxford and four and a half miles from Sheffield.

Full particulars as to conditions, and plans and forms of application, may be obtained at this office, where applica-

tions will be received on and after the date specified, between the hours of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., except on Saturdays, when the office closes at 1 p.m.

Land Sale, Hawke’s Bay District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the sections enumerated in the Schedule hereunder will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Crown Lands Office, Napier, on Monday, the 21st December, 1891, at 11 a.m.

Section 1, Block IX., Moeangiangi, is all open fairly level country covered with manuka and fern, with very light and rather poor soil. The land is on the banks of the Waikare River, about eight miles from Mohaka Post-office.

Conditions of Sale: One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, the balance, with £1 Crown-grant fee, within thirty days from date of sale.

FOR LEASE FOR SEVEN YEARS.

Portion of Makaretu Forest Reserve; area, 1,000 acres; upset rent, £75.

Broken country for the most part, but there are some fine slopes and almost level country with very fair soil. About 600 acres have been sown with cocksfoot grass, which is looking very well and thriving. A further area of about 300 acres might be sown without any bush-felling or clearing being necessary. The land is five miles from Ashley-Clinton.

Conditions of sale: Half a year’s rent and £1 1s. lease-fee must be paid by the successful bidder at the close of the auction.

Pastoral Leases in the Wellington Land District to be offered at Auction.

District Land and Survey Office,
Wellington, 23rd November, 1891.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned runs will be offered at auction, on Thursday, the 7th January, 1892, at this office, at 2.30 p.m., on pastoral lease, for a term of ten years, at the upset annual rental stated opposite each run.

These runs are islands in the Waingawa River, situated in Block XV., Mikimiki Survey District, and Block III., Tiffin Survey District. Run No. 26, containing 27 acres, is flat land and good soil; about half the area is bush, the balance being open and in grass. Run No. 27, of 120 acres, is also level, about two-thirds is covered with light bush and scrub, and the remainder being shingle; about 40 acres of the land is good soil, the rest being shingle or stony formation. Portions of both runs are subject to floods when the river is high. The leases of the above runs will be sold subject to the provisions contained in “The Land Act, 1885,” relating to the sale of runs. Full particulars can be obtained at this office.
