The shortest road into this block is by the Anderson Road, by which it is about nine miles from Eltham Railway-station. The road is formed for about two miles as a cart-road, and there is a pack-track for the remainder. It can also be approached from Hawera by the Whareroa and Rotokare roads, which are formed to within a mile of the block, but felled and cleared a mile within the block. The extension of this formation is to be continued at once.

All forest, swampy in places, but generally dry, cut up by small streams, generally level, soil light volcanic, mixed up with grit; timber consists of rimu, rata, pukatea, and towai. Situate five miles and a half from Inglewood by the Dudley Road, which is felled the whole way, but formed only part of the way.

Fixing Sittings of the District Court of Nelson.

ONSLow, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Court of Nelson, for civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, from and after the first day of January next, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed:—

In the Courthouse, Nelson, for civil business only, on the 13th January, 6th April, 22nd June, 14th September, and 7th December; and for civil and criminal business on the 24th February, 11th May, 3rd August, and 26th October.

In the Courthouse, Westport, for civil and criminal business, on the 25th January, 28th March, 30th May, 25th July, 26th September, and 28th November.

Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eleventh day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.

Revoking the Reservation of the Pukekohe Recreation Reserve.

ONSLow, Governor.

WHEREAS by the second section of “The McCabe Land Grants Act, 1891” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, at any time after the passing of that Act, to revoke the reservation as a recreation reserve of the lands herein-after described and known as the Pukekohe Recreation Reserve: And whereas it appears expedient to revoke the said reservation in manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in me by the said Act, do hereby revoke the reservation of the lands described in the Schedule hereto which were set apart on the eleventh day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, as a recreation reserve: Provided, however, that nothing herein contained shall extend to prejudice or affect the provisions of any lease of the said lands or any part thereof made by the Pukekohe Domain Board, and the provisions of which may be still subsisting.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land being called or knows an Lots Nos. 80 and 81 of Section No. 2, Parish of Pukekohe, situate in Block XV., Drury Survey District, Land District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road-line, 1500 links; towards the south-east by Lot No. 270, Section No. 2 aforesaid, 1335 links; towards the south-west by a public road-line, 1500 links; and towards the north-west by Lot No. 82, Section No. 2 aforesaid, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eleventh day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.
