A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the one hundred and ninety-seventh
section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William
Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands mentioned
in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of
sections one hundred and ninety-eight to two hundred and
nineteen of Part VII. of “The Land Act, 1885,” relating to
small grazing-runs.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of
“The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the block of land described in the
Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart
and declared open for the Pioneer Special Settlement,
upon the terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council
issued on the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-one, and made under the one
hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wel-
ington, containing 3,800 acres, more or less, situate in
Blocks XI., XII., XV., and XVI., Mangaone Survey District.
Bounded towards the north by a public road; towards the
east by Sections Nos. 114, 118, 119, 124, 125, 130, 131, 136,
137, 142, 143, and 148, Township of Alfredton, and by a public
road; towards the south by Section No. 200, Block XV.,

same survey district, and a public road; and towards the
west by Crown land and a public road.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Altering Times of Meeting of the Land Board of the Land District of Auckland.


ONSLow, Governor.

WHEREAS by the first subsection of section forty-three
of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is provided that the
Land Boards of the respective land districts shall sit at the
land office in the principal town of the land district, at cer-
tain times to be determined by the Board and approved of
by the Governor, and published in the New Zealand Gazette:
And whereas by a warrant under the hand of His Excel-
lency the Governor, dated the sixth day of August, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, and published in
the New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of August, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, it was appointed
that the Land Board of Auckland should hold their meetings
every third week, at ten o'clock a.m.:
And whereas the Land Board of Auckland did, on the
twenty-third day of October, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-one, pass a resolution recommending that the
time of sitting should be altered, and it is expedient to give
effect to the said recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the
power and authority vested in me in that behalf, do hereby
fix and determine that the ordinary meetings of the Land
Board of the Land District of Auckland shall be held on
every third Friday in each month, at two o'clock p.m., com-
mencing on Friday, the twenty-second day of January, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, at two o'clock p.m.,
instead of as heretofore appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this tenth day of December, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-one.

Appointing Polling-places, City of Wellington Electoral District.


ONSLow, Governor.

WHEREAS by “The Regulation of Elections Act,
1881,” it is enacted that the Governor may from
time to time appoint, alter, and abolish polling-places for
each electoral district within the limits thereof, and may
appoint any one of such polling-places to be the principal
polling-place of the district, and that no polling-place shall
be appointed unless the Governor shall be first satisfied that
the place to be appointed is more convenient than any other
for at least twenty electors to record their votes thereat:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
the places mentioned below to be polling-places and a prin-
cipal polling-place for the Electoral District of the City of
Wellington:—

F. Sidey’s Auction-mart, Cuba Street Extension (principal).
The Princess Theatre, Tory Street.
The Salvation Army Hall, Adelaide Road.
The Volunteer Drill-shed, Ballance Street.
The City Council Office, Borough of Onslow.
The Old Schoolhouse, Karori.
The Exchange Hall, Lambton Quay.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this tenth day of December, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-one.
