NOTICE is hereby given that THOMSON AND BEATTIE,
of Invercargill, New Zealand, Drapers and Clothing
Manufacturers, have applied to register, under "The Patents,
Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1889," the trade-mark of
which the following is a description:—
The mark consists of a ticket for clothing, and is in the
form of a double-lined oblong, about the centre of which is
represented a facsimile of the Queen's-head side of a jubilee
sovereign, embossed in gold. Above this, in the form of an
arc, are the words "Good as Gold," above which again are
the words "The Golden Wheel Clothing;" while the upper
part of the ticket is occupied by the words, "Ready Money
Lends Wheels to Trade." Beneath the representation of the
sovereign are the words, &c., "Thomson & Beattie's Own
Make," immediately below which the ticket is intersected by
two parallel straight lines. In the lower separated part
appear the words "Size," "Price," the former being above
the latter, and each being followed by a dotted line.
The applicants claim, as the essential particulars of the
above-described trade-mark, the words "Golden Wheel"
and the representation of the Queen's-head side of a jubilee
sovereign embossed in gold, and disclaim any right to the
exclusive use of the added matter, the name of the firm
excepted.
Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade-
mark shall apply.
Articles of clothing.
Class of Goods in connection with which the Applicants
desire the Trade-mark to be registered.
Class No. 38.
Any person may, within two months of the date of this
Gazette, give notice, in duplicate, at this office, of opposition
to the registration of the trade-mark. A fee of £1 is payable
with such notice.

The word "ZEALANDIA."
The applicant claims to have used the above-described
trade-mark for about five years before the 2nd September,
1887.
Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade-
mark shall apply.
Bicycles and tricycles.
Class of Goods in connection with which the Applicant
desires the Trade-mark to be registered.

above represented trade-mark, the words "Tower Brand,"
and the design of the tower, and disclaim any right to the
exclusive use of the added matter.
