Rural Lands open for Sale or Selection, Auckland Land District.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Auckland, 17th September, 1891.

THE under-mentioned Crown lands will be open for sale or selection, in terms of sections 3 to 11 of “The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887,” either for cash, on deferred payments, or for perpetual lease, at the option of the selector, on and after Wednesday, the 4th November, 1891. In cases where more than one application is received for the same section, priority of choice will be decided by lot on the following day, at 11 a.m., at the Crown Lands Office, Auckland:—

Sections 54 and E. 55, very broken forest land, of fair quality; 180, nearly all poor swamp; 198, open land, adjoining Waipa River; W. portion 21, broken forest land, sandstone and clay soil; 5, 9, and 10, rather broken land, covered with fern and tea-tree, the soil consists of a sandy loam. 38, 40, and 41, open lands, with a small area of swamp; 42, about half forest, remainder open land; 42A, about two-thirds mixed forest; these lands are close to the Matahura River. S.W. 5, open fern land, poor soil; 103, open fern land, fairly good, and level, about two miles and a half from Kaukapakapa; 6, about one-half mixed bush, remainder light tea-tree, land poor; 6A, about 30 acres mixed bush, remainder poor, tea-tree and undrainable swamp; 84 to N.E. 94, open and poor lands, accessible from Whangarei, which is distant one mile; 35, situated on the Mangonui-o-wae River, between Section 31 and the village reserve, undulating land, covered with dense mixed forest, soil a sandy loam, no formed road of access at present.

IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned village-settlement section will be opened for sale and selection, either for cash, on deferred payments, or for perpetual lease, at the option of the selector, on and after Monday, the 26th October, 1891:—

INVERCARGILL HUNDRED VILLAGE SETTLEMENT.

Section 82, Block VII., 6 acres. Cash price per acre, £4; deferred-payment price per acre, £5; perpetual-lease rent, per acre, 4s.; improvements, £4 5s.
