NOTICE is hereby given that ROBERT HARPER AND Co., of No. 352, Little Flinders Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Merchants, have applied to register, under “The Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1889,” the trade-mark of which the following is a description:—
The word “PLAID.”

Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade-mark shall apply.

Arrowroot, coffee, coffee and chicory, French coffee, essence of coffee, chicory, cocoa, dandelion cocoa, dandelion coffee, caraways, cassia, cinnamon, cloves, chillies, coriander, farine, ginger, groats, ground rice, icing-sugar, mace, mixed spice, meal (a mixture of oatmeal and wheatenmeal), meal (digestive), maizemeal, mustard, nutmegs (whole), nutmegs (ground), oats (cooked rolled), oatmeal, pearl barley, pease-meal, peppers, pimento or allspice, rice, split peas, sago, tapioca, tartaric acid, cream of tartar, bicarbonate of soda, saltpetre, wheatmeal, baking-powder, culinary essences, currie-powders, egg-powder, “jelly” pudding-powders, table jellies, table oils, yeast- and custard-powders, limejuice cordial, lemon syrup, raspberry syrup, raspberry vinegar, and tea.

Class of Goods in connection with which the Applicants desire the Trade-mark to be registered.

Class No. 42.

Any person may, within two months of the date of this Gazette, give notice, in duplicate, at this office, of opposition to the registration of the trade-mark. A fee of £1 is payable with such notice.
