REMARKS.—Fine weather generally, with showers during middle of month; small total rainfall, the maximum recorded on 22nd, ·700in.; winds moderate and variable, except strong on 19th and 24th from N.W. Maximum temperature in shade, 61; minimum, 34. Mean temperature of dewpoint, 45·2; mean humidity, 88. Earthquakes—on 10th, very slight, at 10.25 a.m.; on 16th, slight movement; on 20th, at 9.12 p.m., sharp.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Trust Commissioner will, under the authority and for the purposes of the said Acts, hold a Court at the Courthouse, Palmerston North, on the 9th day of October, 1891, for investigating the cases mentioned in the Schedule hereunder, at which time and place all persons interested in the said cases, and having objections to the said dealings, are hereby notified to attend.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at Wellington on the 20th day of October, for the purpose of rehearing the several matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written.

Name of Land. Purpose for which Rehearing to be had.
Ngawakaakupe .. Rehearing to be had for the purpose of determining what persons being members of the Ngatihikawera Hapu are entitled to a share or interest in the said land, and in what portions thereof respectively, and what are their relative interests in such portions respectively.
Okurupatu .. Rehearing to be had for the purpose of partition.

Notice is hereby further given that after the completion of the Ngawakaakupe case the Court will adjourn to Masterton to rehear the Okurupatu case, if application is made to that effect.
