NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same within one calendar month from the date of the gazetting of this notice.

GEORGE EDWARD TUCKER.—3 roods, being Sections 12, 13, and 14, Block II., Town of Campbelltown. Unoccupied. Nos. 2454, 2455, and 2456.

ARCHIBALD WEIR (claiming by occupation).—16 perches, being Allotment 24, Block III., Township of Avenal. Occupied by Applicant. No. 2458.

Private Advertisements.

WAITOTARA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Waitotara County Council to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in the County of Waitotara, running from Mosstown to Castlecliff, and for the purposes of such public work to take, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, the lands described in the Schedule hereto. And notice is hereby further given that a copy of the plans of the said road and of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the residence of James Dempsey, at Mosstown, in the said county, and is there open for public inspection. And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Waitotara County Council, at its office in Ridgway Street, Wanganui.

SCHEDULE.

The parcel of land mentioned hereunder :—

MELROSE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” and of “The Public Works Act, 1882.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Melrose Borough Council has deposited at the office of the Council, 9, Queen’s Chambers, Wellington, a plan of certain land proposed to be taken for the location of the Ohirō Road, which land, comprising 6 acres 3 roods 38 perches, more or less, forms parts of Sections 12, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 on the plan of the Ohirō district, within the Borough of Melrose. The above plan is now open for inspection during office hours.

And notice is further given that all persons affected by the proposed works are required to set forth any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Melrose Borough Council.

THE GREAT NORTHERN DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RESOLUTIONS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolutions were passed at a general meeting of contributories of the Great Northern Dredging Company (Limited), in liquidation, of which due notice was given, held at the office of the undersigned, Ballarat Street, Queenstown, on the 10th day of August, 1891, at three o’clock in the afternoon, and confirmed at a general meeting of contributories, of which due notice was given, and held at the same place and hour on the 31st day of August, in the same year, viz. :—

(1.) “That the contributories approve of the manner in which the Liquidator has kept the accounts of the company in liquidation, also how he disposed of the property of the company; and that he retains the books and documents of the company.”

(2.) “That Mr. Henry Wigmore’s unclaimed dividend of 6s. 3d., whose present address could not be ascertained, be
