NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of "The Land Act, 1885," Part VII., that leases of the runs enumerated hereunder will be submitted to public auction, at this office, on Monday, the 31st August, 1891, at noon, at the upset rentals noted opposite each run:

MOUNT STOKER RUNS.

Hummock District, Section 1, Block VII., and Nenthorn District, Section 13, Block IV., grouped; about 3,711 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset rental, £92 15s. 6d. per annum.

Hummock District, Section 2, Block VII., and Section 1, Block IX.; and Nenthorn District, Section 14, Block IV.; grouped; about 4,870 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset rental, £109 5s. per annum.

Hummock District, Section 2, Block IX.; Silver Peak District, Section 3, Block VIII.; and Nenthorn District, Section 4, Block VIII.; grouped; about 4,988 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset rental, £124 14s. per annum.

Nenthorn District: Section 2, Block VII., and Section 3, Block VIII., grouped; about 4,677 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset rental, £116 18s. 6d. per annum.

Nenthorn District: Section 4, Block VI., Section 3, Block VII., and Section 5, Block VIII.; grouped; about 4,784 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset rental, £119 12s. per annum.

The above are subdivisions of the Mount Stoker Runs, and are accessible from either Deep Stream, Sutton, or Middlemarch Railway-stations, the distances to the boundary of the block being respectively three, nine, and twelve miles.

Mount Hyde District: Section 1, Block I., and Section 17, Block II., grouped; about 575 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset rental, £14 7s. 6d. per annum. Situated on the Deep Stream, about nineteen miles from Outram Railway-station.

TIGER HILL RUN.

Tiger Hill District: Run 244c, about 1,701 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset rental, £42 10s. 6d. per annum; valuation for improvements (payable within fourteen days from day of sale), £170 10s.; situated near Ophir, about one hundred and forty miles from Dunedin.

Possession of the foregoing runs will be given on day of sale.

Purchasers will be required to hand to the auctioneer the declaration required by section 200 of "The Land Act, 1885," and to pay the first half-year's rent from the 1st September next, and lease- and registration-fees (£1 11s.) on fall of the hammer.

Lands for Application as Village Homesteads, Land District of Otago.

IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned land will be open for application under the village-homestead system on Wednesday, the 16th September, 1891. Applications must be made on the proper forms, and must be made in person or sent through the post to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin. Application-forms and full particulars can be obtained at this office, and at the Post-offices, Heriot and Balclutha.

This land is being opened for the purpose of providing homes for villagers. Holders of other lands exceeding one acre in extent are not eligible as selectors. Any person putting in an application in contravention of the conditions under which the land is opened is liable to be prosecuted for making a false declaration, and any section obtained thereby is, in accordance with the conditions, forfeited. Alleged ignorance of the conditions will not, after this notice, be accepted as an excuse for persons putting in applications who hold other lands.
