ONSLow, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough, Canterbury, Westland, Otago, and Southland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.

AUCKLAND.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Lot No. 24, Section No. 8, City of Auckland, and containing by admeasurement 15 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Beach Road, 143 links; towards the south-east by Short Street, 82 links; towards the south-west by Lot No. 17, Section No. 8, City of Auckland, 142 links; and towards the north-west by Lot No. 23, Section No. 8 aforesaid, 50 links: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Auckland.
