NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.
“THE MINING ACT 1886 AMENDMENT ACT, 1887.”
Tuapeka, 29th July, 1891.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to raise the line of our Water-race (No. 2189) to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point in the said race about half a mile above Davis’s residence, Tuapeka River, at a point known as McComb’s Track, passing through Sections 37 and 46, Sections 31 and 58, and Sections 28, 22, 59, 60, and 61, all in Block XVIII., Tuapeka East, terminating at a point in Munro’s Gully opposite Milburn’s residence.
The length of such alteration is about five miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-east. Pegs marked V.
The mean depth of such race is 1ft. 3in., and the mean breadth is 2ft. 6in., and it is proposed to divert twelve Government-heads of water.
Cost of construction: £250.
Time required for construction: Six months.
