THE following special order, made by the Waipipi Road
Board, is published in accordance with "The Road
Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.

At a meeting of the Waipipi Road Board held on Saturday,
the 13th June, 1891, in the Road Board Office, Waiuku, at
which all the members of the Board were present, the fol-
lowing resolution was carried unanimously :—

It was proposed by Mr. Walter Holmes, and seconded by
Mr. Alexander Muir, jun., That this Board do now make a
special order to levy a special rate of seven-sixteenths of a
penny in the pound on the rateable property (Crown and
Native lands excepted) contained in that portion of the Wai-
pipi Road District bounded on the east by the Awaroa
River; from its mouth to the north-east corner of Lot 162, in
the Parish of Waiuku West; thence by the southern boun-
dary-line of Subsection 1 in said parish, and the southern
boundary-lines of Lots 85 and 86; thence by the western
boundary-lines of Lots 40, 44, 51, 54, 66, and 67; thence by a
road-line bounding Lots 89, 73, 72, and 71; thence by the
eastern boundary-lines of Lots 71, 98, and 156 to the Wai-
kato River; and thence by the Waikato River to the mouth
of the Awaroa, in order to pay interest and sinking fund on a
sum of £200 about to be borrowed under the provisions of
"The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886;" the
same to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years,
and to be due and payable in advance, in one instalment, on
the 1st day of January in each year; the first year's rate to
be due and payable at the Road Board Office, Waiuku, on
the 1st January, 1892.

I certify the above resolution to be true extract from the
minute-book of the Waipipi Road Board.

County of Manukau.

Waipipi Road Board, is published in accordance with
"The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

RESULT OF POLL.

At a poll taken on Saturday, the 25th day of April, 1891, at
Otana, in the No. 1 Subdivision of the Waipipi Road District,
under the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1886," in order to ascertain whether the ratepayers in that
portion of said district—bounded on the east by the Awaroa
River, from its mouth to the north-east corner of Lot 162,
in the Parish of Waiuku West; thence by the southern
boundary of Subsection 1, in said parish, and the southern
boundary-lines of Lots 85 and 86; thence by the western
boundary-lines of Lots 40, 44, 51, 54, 66, and 67; thence by
a road-line bounding Lots 89, 73, 72, and 71; thence by the
eastern boundary-lines of Lots 71, 98, and 156 to the Wai-
kato River; and thence by the Waikato River to the mouth
of the Awaroa—were willing to borrow a sum of £200, under
"The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for
the purpose of improving the main road through the Awaroa
Swamp,—

There were 25 ratepayers on the roll, who were entitled to
27 votes; there voted for the proposal 16 ratepayers, who
were entitled to 17 votes; against the proposal, nil.

The majority in number and value having therefore voted
for the proposal, I declare the proposal to be carried.

VICTORIA AND BELLSHAW'S ROAD LOAN.

RESULT of poll for proposed loan of £300, under "The Govern-
ment Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of
constructing the Victoria and Bellshaw Roads, within the
Woodville Road District, County of Waipawa :—

I, Archibald McCormick, Chairman of the Woodville Road
Board, do notify the result of the poll taken at the residence
of F. R. Duncan, Esq., Napier Road, Woodville, on the 4th
day of July, 1891 :—

Number of ratepayers entitled to vote, 5; votes exercis-
able in favour of loan, 5; number of ratepayers who voted
in favour of the loan, 3; number of ratepayers who voted
against the loan, nil; votes not recorded, 2; majority in
favour (ratepayers), 3; majority of votes in favour, 3.

I hereby declare the proposal has been carried by a
majority of voters and votes entitled to poll.

vernment Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose
of completing Elliot Road, within the Woodville Road Dis-
trict, County of Waipawa :—

I, Archibald McCormick, Chairman of the Woodville Road
Board, do notify the result of the poll taken at the Maunga-
atua Schoolhouse, Victoria Block, Woodville, on the 4th day
of July, 1891 :—

Number of ratepayers entitled to vote, 15; votes exercis-
able in favour of loan, 18; number of ratepayers who voted
in favour of loan, 9; number of ratepayers who voted against
the loan, nil; votes not recorded, 7; majority in favour
(ratepayers), 9; majority of votes in favour, 11.

I hereby declare the proposal has been carried by a
majority of voters and votes entitled to poll.
