Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 25th June, 1891.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-mentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate, of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of 10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 4571.—WILLIAM TOOGOOD, of Featherston, New Zealand, Storekeeper. An invention for the manufacturing of elastic mattresses, to be called “Toogood’s Patent Portable Elastic Mattress.” (Specification, 2s. 6d.; drawings, 4s.)

No. 5040.—GEORGE ASHWIN CHEEKE, of Sydney, New South Wales, Gentleman. An invention for a new or improved trap for the capture of rabbits in infested country. (Specification, 5s. 6d.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)

No. 5042.—ROBERT GEORGE GIBBONS, of Melbourne, Victoria, Importer, at present residing in Sydney, New South Wales. An invention for an improved device for indicating, separating, and quickly obtaining change from a till or money-drawer. (Specification, 14s.; drawings, 12s. 6d.)

No. 5043.—PARNELL RABBDIGE, of Sydney, New South Wales. An invention for improvements in telephones. (Specification, 8s.; drawings, 15s.)

No. 5044.—JOHN ANDERSON, of Dunedin, New Zealand, Engineer and Brass-founder. An invention for an improvement in giving motion to Anderson’s patent hydraulic sluice-valve, and entitled “Anderson’s Improved Patent Hydraulic Sluice-valve.” (Specification, 3s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)

No. 5045.—THOMAS JONES, of Tainui Street, Greymouth, New Zealand, Hotelkeeper. An invention entitled “The Novelty Gold-saving Tables.” (Specification, 3s.; drawings, 10s.)

No. 5047.—EMMA BARRETT, of Wellington, New Zealand, Dressmaker. An invention for ladies’ and children’s material traced underclothing. (Specification, 2s. 6d.)

No. 5049.—ROBERT PEACE and COLIN ARCHIBALD PEACE, trading as “Robert Peace and Son,” of Auckland, New Zealand, Plumbers. An invention for an improved gas-cooking apparatus. (Specification, 6s. 6d.; drawings, 10s.)

No. 5050.—DONALD DONALD, of Solway, Masterton, New Zealand, Sheep-farmer. An invention entitled “Donald’s Patent Stumping-jack.” (Specification, 2s.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5051.—JOHN ADAM BERG, of Palmerston North, New Zealand, Coachsmith. An invention for an improved road-cart. (Specification, 2s.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5054.—WILLIAM EDWARD HARDING, of Bannockburn, Otago, New Zealand, Gold-miner. An invention for improvement in rabbit-traps, to be called “Harding’s Patent Under-spring Rabbit-trap.” (Specification, 3s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)

No. 5056.—JOHN SMALL, of Fernhill, Dunedin, New Zealand, Mechanical Engineer. An invention for extension of mountings for uncoupling runaway horses from vehicles (to be used in connection with “Safety Swingle-tree”). (Specification, 2s. 6d.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5057.—JAMES GRESHAM, of the firm of Gresham and Craven (Limited), of Craven Iron-works, Salford, Manchester, England, Engineer. An invention for improvements in or applicable to automatic vacuum-brake apparatus, having reference more especially to the ejector and brake-controlling mechanism. No. 5058.—FREDERICK YORK WOLSELEY, of Sydney, New South Wales, Managing Director and duly-authorised Attorney of the Wolseley Sheep-shearing Machine Company (Limited), of Great Britain, whose registered office is at No. 4, Sun Court, Cornhill, London, England. An invention for an improvement in the flexible shafts of sheep-shearing and such like machines. (Specification, 5s. 6d.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5062.—WALLACE CARR, of Dunedin, New Zealand. An invention entitled “The Carbine Rabbit-trap.” (Specification, 3s.; drawings, 3s.)
