Defining the Middle Line of Further Portion of the Catlin's River Branch of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Waitaki-Bluff Railway, with a branch from the main line to Catlin's River, is one of the railways specified in the First Schedule to “The Public Works Act, 1879,” which Act is, in the seventh section thereof, declared to be a special Act authorising the construction of such railway; and such railway is unfinished, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the aforesaid section seven of “The Public Works Act, 1879,” and by sections one hundred and twenty-nine and one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point on the middle line of the said railway, and distant about 13 chains from the southern termination thereof, as described in a Proclamation dated the 14th March, 1891, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19, of the 19th March, 1891; proceeding thence in a south-westerly, north-westerly, and southerly direction for a distance of about one mile and 53 chains; passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, namely: Railway Reserve, Sections Nos. 33 and 34, Block VII., and Sections Nos. 45, 27, and 26, Block IX.; and terminating at a point on the southern boundary of said Section No. 26, distant about 1160 links from the south-western corner thereof; including all intervening places, roads, streams, and watercourses; all in the Glenomaru Survey District, in the Provincial District of Otago; in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 16767, a copy of which has been deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Dunedin, in the said Provincial District of Otago.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley, of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of June, 1891.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the portion of the road in the Piako County known as the Katikati to Te Aroha Road, described in the Schedule below, shall, on and after the date above mentioned, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
THAT portion of the road known as Katikati-Te Aroha Road, in Piako County, which commences at the Te Aroha-Shaftesbury Road, and proceeds in an easterly direction to the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 20, Block III., Wairere Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 13725, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington.
