The name (if any) of the land granted, and the numbers and dates of the grants or other instruments containing the restrictions sought to be removed, or sufficient other information to enable grants or instruments of title to be traced and identified.

Whether the applicant is an original grantee or a successor of an original grantee. If the latter, copy of the succession order must be forwarded with the application.

Where consent is required to any partial alienation of land, such as by lease or mortgage, an engrossment of the instrument of alienation to which the consent of the Governor is required must be forwarded in duplicate, and one copy will be retained for the purposes of record.

Each signature to an application must be attested by a Judge, Registrar, or Licensed Interpreter of the Native Land Court, a Justice of the Peace, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court, a Clerk of Resident Magistrate’s Court, or a Postmaster.

In cases where the application is written in English, but signed by a Native, in addition to the attestation of the signature, a certificate must be appended, signed by a Licensed Interpreter of the Native Land Court, certifying that the application was read over in Maori, and explained to the Native before signing, and that he appeared fully to understand the same.

Any person signing the name of another to any application without sufficient authority will render himself liable to such penalties as the law provides. In all cases where practicable the authority to sign as agent should accompany the application.

Terms of Sale: One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance to the Receiver of Land Revenue, Wellington, within thirty days from date of sale, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land thenceforth will be null and void. Crown-grant fees to be paid on completion of the purchases. Maps can be seen at the principal post offices in the district and at this office, where full particulars can also be obtained.

NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of section 188 of “The Land Act, 1885,” that the runs hereunder enumerated will be declared forfeited if the amount of rent due, together with the penalty, be not paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue within three months from the date of insertion of this notice:—

Notice of Date for Rehearing of a Claim.—Pakaraka.
NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF WHANGANUI.
IN the matter of a decision of the Court given during a session opened at Whanganui, in the said district, on the 19th day of April, 1889, upon the hearing of an application for the partition of certain land called or known by the name of Pakaraka, situate at or near Waitotara; and in the matter of an application made in writing, within three months after such decision was given, by Werahiko Taipuhi and others, Natives, thinking themselves aggrieved thereby, for a rehearing upon the aforesaid application; and in the matter of the order heretofore made by Hugh Garden Seth-Smith, Esquire, Chief Judge of the said Court, directing a rehearing therein:
Now notice is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at Waitotara, for an inquiry into and determination upon rehearing of the aforesaid application, on Wednesday, the 21st day of January, 1891.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at the sitting of the Court presently being held at Marton, the Court will, on the 7th day of February instant, proceed to hear and determine the matter mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written, in respect to which application under section 13 of “The Native Land Court Acts Amendment Act, 1889,” has been received by the Chief Judge.
And it is also hereby notified that the said application has been deposited for inspection with the Clerk of the Native Land Court at Marton.
