Rural Lands in the Hawke's Bay Land District open for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of "The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND.

ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Allotment No. 117 of Section No. 1, Parish of Maungatawhiri, containing by admeasurement 8 acres and 25 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment No. 118 of Section No. 1 of the Parish of Maungatawhiri aforesaid, 1209 links; towards the south-east by Allotment No. 125 of the same section, 825 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 1200 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 818 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; save and except a road, 100 links wide, which intersects the area hereinbefore described. For a quarry.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Sections Nos. 6 and 7 of Block V., Waihi South Survey District, containing by admeasurement 681 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 5 of Block V., Waihi South Survey District, 8669 links; towards the east generally by a public road, 347, 1164, 503, 3041, 1215, 1108, and 1495 links; towards the south by Run No. 5, 7343 links; and towards the west by said Run No. 5 and Section No. 14 of Block XII., Maketu Survey District, 8174 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For primary education.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Section No. 28A of Block VII., Awaroa Survey District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 5 of Block VII., Awaroa Survey District 410 links, and by a public road 113 and 857 links; towards the south-east generally by a public road, 151, 269, and 267 links; towards the south-west by a public road 242 links, and by Section No. 28 of Block VII., Awaroa Survey District, 955 links; and towards the north-west by the Hutiwai Stream to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school-site.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, situate in the Parish of Waipa, being Suburban Section No.
