NOTICE UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882.”

THE Mangonui County Council propose to take, for the purpose of making a public road, certain lands, on Section 6, Maxwell’s grant; on Section 334, Waimanone Native Block; further portion Section 6, Maxwell’s claim; on Mr. Joseph Evans’s section, being also part of Maxwell’s claim; on further portion Section 6, Maxwell’s claim; on Crown lands towards the West Coast; all in the Parish of Awanui, in the County of Mangonui.

Any person affected by the taking of these lands are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the said taking or to the proposed work, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Chairman of the Mangonui County Council, Mangonui.

Plans of the land proposed to be taken will be on view to all persons, at all reasonable hours, at the office of the Mangonui County Council.

THE GREAT NORTHERN DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of contributors of the above-named company will be held on Monday, the 20th day of July, 1891, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, at my offices, Ballarat Street, Queenstown, for the purpose of passing a special resolution, “That the Great Northern Dredging Company (Limited), in liquidation, has been fairly wound up.”

THE BRUCE DAIRY AND BACON-CURING COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 202 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” a General Meeting of the members of the above company will be held in the County Council Chambers, Milton, on Friday, the 24th day of July, 1891, at 7 p.m., for the purpose of showing an account of how the property was disposed, and giving any explanation that may be required; and of determining, by extraordinary resolution, the manner in which the books, documents, and accounts of the company and of the Liquidator shall be disposed.

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between RICHARD CHARLES PITT and FRANCIS JOSEPH MAGUIRE, carrying on business as Grocers and General Importers, at Napier and Gisborne, under the style or firm of “Pitt and Maguire,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business at Napier will in future be carried on under the style or firm of “Pitt and Co.,” by the said Richard Charles Pitt, who will receive all debts and discharge all liabilities of the late firm in respect of the said business at Napier; and the business at Gisborne will be carried on under the style or firm of “Maguire and Company,” by the said Francis Joseph Maguire, who will receive all debts and discharge all liabilities of the late firm in respect of the said business at Gisborne.

In the matter of “The Phoenix Assurance Company of London Act, 1887.”

I, RICHARD MIDDLETON SIMPSON, of the City of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand, General Agent and Attorney in New Zealand of the Phoenix Assurance Company of London, in pursuance of the above-mentioned Act, do hereby give notice that the situation and locality of the head office of the said company in New Zealand is at Customhouse Quay, in the City of Wellington aforesaid.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the matter of the Maungakaramea Cheese, Butter, and Bacon Factory Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the Cheese-factory Buildings, at Maungakaramea, in the Provincial District of Auckland, on the 3rd day of October, 1889, the following special resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting, duly convened and held at the same place on the 26th day of October, 1889, the following resolution was duly confirmed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily; and that Messieurs William Crawford and John Wilkinson be and are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up.”
