The births in March were 195, against 196 in February, a decrease of 1.
The deaths amounted to 82, against 119 in February.
There were 9 deaths of persons of 65 years and upwards: 1 male of 76, and 3 females of 83, 77, and 73, died at Auckland; 1 male of 71, and 1 female of 65, at Wellington; 1 male of 74 at Christchurch; and 2 males of 87 and 79 at Dunedin.
