No. 4919.--JOHN HISLOP, of Dunedin, New Zealand, Watchmaker. An invention for shearing sheep, clipping horses, and other similar work, to be called "Hislop's Hand-power Shearing-machine."

No. 4925.--GEORGE SARGENT JAKINS, of Blyth's Road, Papanui, Christchurch, New Zealand, Merchant. An invention entitled "Patent Pigeon-cage for Marine Telegraphy, to be used at night."

No. 4927.--WILLIAM HENRY BOYENS, Engineer, and ROBERT RUSSELL LOCHHEAD, Blacksmith, both of Kaikoura, Marlborough, New Zealand. An invention for an improved potato-digger and -gatherer.

No. 4928.--MOSES BATE, of Brighton Road, Parnell, Auckland, New Zealand, Millwright. An invention for improvement for the separating of iron or any magnetic materials from any other materials by magnetic attraction.

No. 4930.--ALEXANDER McVICAR, Engineer, and ERNEST KRAUSE, Fireman, both of Napier, New Zealand. An invention for a new or improved apparatus for drying and preparing wool.

No. 4931.--ANDREW HONMAN, of Electra Street, Williamstown, Victoria, Surgeon, and VICTOR VULLIEZ, of Osborne Street, Williamstown aforesaid, Whitelead Manufacturer. An invention for improvements in the process of, and apparatus for, the manufacture of whitelead.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

PATENT OFFICE SUPPLEMENT.

FROM and after the 2nd April, 1891, a separate Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette will be published fortnightly, and will contain all notices concerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be gazetted. It will also contain particulars of lapsed applications for patents and of expired letters patent, and other information useful to inventors, manufacturers, and others. The Patent Office Supplement will be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on payment of a special subscription of ten shillings per annum, payable in advance to the Government Printer.
