Additional Land taken in Alford Survey District for
Purposes of the Mount Somers Branch of the Hurunui-
Bluff Railway.
A NOTIFICATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui-Bluff
Railway, Mount Somers Branch, to take further land in
the Alford Survey District, in addition to land previously
acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, we, the New Zealand Railway Commis-
sioners, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on us by "The Government Railways Act, 1887," and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling us in
that behalf, do hereby notify and declare that the land men-
tioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above
mentioned.

of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
4966, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railway
Commissioners, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the common seal of the New Zealand
Railway Commissioners, at Wellington, this first
day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-one.

Open and forest land of inferior quality. The following
are the approximate number of kauri trees on each section:
Section 3, 30 green and 80 dry trees; 4, 260 green and 60
dry trees; 5, 110 green and 25 dry trees; 6, 30 green and 45
dry trees. The kauri is between 3ft. and 4ft. in diameter.
Terms of Sale: One-fifth of the purchase-money to be
paid at close of sale, and the balance within thirty days
thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by
way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the
sale of the land shall henceforth be null and void.
Crown-grant fee, £1, to be paid on completion of purchase.
