vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
his successor.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
time appointed for holding the same, the members present
shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of
such meeting. -
If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the mem-
bers may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chair-
man. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Otago, con-
taining by admeasurement (exclusive of area of proposed
channel) 64 acres 2 roods 35 perches, more or less, situate in
the Township of Kaitangata, and now numbered Section 5,
Block XLVI., of said township. Bounded towards the north
by a street-line, 1395 links ; towards the north-east by Sec-
tion No. 4 of same block, 3996 links ; towards the south-
east by Davidson Street 3022 and 5369 links, also by Sec-
tions Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and Bembridge Street, 500 links ;
towards the south-west by Bembridge Street, 275*2 links ;
towards the south-west, west, and north-west by the Kai-
tangata Creek and the Kaitangata Lake, 6000 links : be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less ; as the same is delineated
on the plan in the Survey Office, Dunedin ; excluding there-
from all public streets or roads.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Otago, con-
taining by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 3 perches, more
or less, situate in the Township of Kaitangata, and being
Sections Nos. 1 to 15 of Block XXVI. of said township.
Bounded towards the north-east by Branksea Street, 755*4
links ; towards the south-east by Eddystone Street, 500 links ;
towards the south-west by St. Albans Street, 846 links ; and
towards the north-west by Water Street, 542 links : be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
fifth day of March, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
were reserved for gravel-pits: And whereas it is
expedient that the said lands should be vested in the Tara-
naki County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in
the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Taranaki
County, in trust, for gravel-pits.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Tara-
naki, containing by admeasurement 16 acres, more or less,
being Subsection No. 206 and a portion of Subsection No.
208 of Section No. 62, in the Hua and Waiwakaiho District,
Egmont Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the
Junction Road, 2033 links; towards the east by other part of
Subsection No. 208 1020 links, and the Kaiarui Stream ;
and towards the south-west by the Alfred Road, 3177 links :
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Vesting a Reserve in the Corporation of the Borough of
Carterton.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
fifth day of March, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
were reserved for a site for municipal buildings: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient
to vest the said lands in the Corporation of the Borough of
Carterton :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said re-
serve shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and
burgesses of the Borough of Carterton, in trust, for a site
for municipal buildings.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington,
containing by admeasurement 36 perches, more or less,
being Part 7, Section No. 3, Carterton-Tiffin Survey District.
Bounded on the north and east by Part 4 of Section No. 3 ;
on the south by Part 3 of Section No. 3 ; on the west by a
public road : as the same is delineated on the plan deposited
in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
fifth day of March, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-fourth section of "The Public Reserves
Act, 1881," I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do
hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public
recreation in the Provincial District of Auckland, and known
as the Ngaruawahia Recreation-ground, and described in the
Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought
under the operation of and declared to be subject to the
provisions of "The Public Domains Act, 1881;" and such
domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt
with, in manner directed by the said Act, by the Domain
Board constituted by an Order in Council issued on the
twenty-second day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland,
being Section No. 667 of the Town of Ngaruawahia, contain-
ing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or
less. Bounded towards the north-east by a curved line,
being the south-western boundary of land reserved for the
Waikato Railway; towards the south-east by Ellery Street,
560 links; towards the south-west by Herschel Street, 588
links; and towards the north-west by Kepler Street, 398
links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
sixth day of March, 1891.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Harbours Act Amendment Act,
1883" (hereinafter called "the said Act"), it is,
among other things, enacted that, where the foreshore has
been legally vested in any Harbour Board or other local
governing body, it may from time to time, subject to the
provisions of the one hundred and fifty-sixth section of
"The Harbours Act, 1878," license and permit any part of
the foreshore to be used or occupied, inter alia, for the
erecting and use of any boat-shed: And whereas by
the said Act it is also provided that every licensee shall,
subject to the provisions of the said Act, have power
to make and construct any necessary reclamation for
the purpose of erecting on the foreshore comprised in his
license, or upon any land below low-water mark immediately
contiguous to such foreshore which shall be specified in
such license, any building, structure, erection, or other
works to enable him to obtain the full benefit of such
license: And whereas by the said Act it is further provided
that every such license shall be in writing, under the seal of
