In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments, and of the Crawford Special Gold-mining Company (No Liability).

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 13th day of March, 1891, presented to Mr. Justice Conolly, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by John Hauge Smith, of Owen Street, Thames, in the Provincial District of Auckland, Ironmonger, a creditor of the said company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 7th day of April, 1891; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

In the matter of a Private Bill intituled “The Taranaki Aid Fund and Indemnity Act, 1891.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the surviving members of the Managing Committee of “The Taranaki Aid Fund” intend to present a petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand, at the ensuing session thereof, praying for leave to introduce a Bill enabling the above Committee to pay the sum of £1,667 19s. 9d. (being the amount which, on the 5th day of July, 1891, will be to the credit of the above fund at the Union Bank of Australia, Nelson) to three Trustees to be appointed for that purpose, upon trust to invest the above sum in public or Government securities, and to pay one-half the interest or income-moneys arising therefrom in equal shares to the Nelson Public Museum and Nelson Free Reading-room, and the other half thereof to the Nelson Aid Society. And notice is hereby further given that copies of the said Bill will be deposited at the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders at Wellington, at or within fourteen days after the beginning of the session.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.

For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act the charge is 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

PATENT OFFICE SUPPLEMENT.

FROM and after the 2nd April, 1891, a separate Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette will be published fortnightly, and will contain all notices concerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be gazetted. It will also contain particulars of lapsed applications for patents and of expired letters patent, and other information useful to inventors, manufacturers, and others. The Patent Office Supplement will be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on payment of a special subscription of ten shillings per annum, payable in advance to the Government Printer.
