Land Transfer Act Notices.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land
hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act, 1885," unless caveat
be lodged forbidding the same within one calendar month
from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

No. 443. ROBERT HELLYER PRIDDLE, Applicant.
Allotments 350 and 355, Town of Blenheim, containing
2 roods, being part of subdivision of Section 3, Omaka.
Occupied by Henry Honnor.

WHEREAS a declaration has been lodged with me, made
by WILLIAM THOMAS WINCHESTER, of Portobello, Architect, the Executor of the will of ROBERT CARR,
deceased, the registered Proprietor of Allotment 1, Block
II., Township of Burnside, of the loss of the certificate of
title for the said land, Register-book, Vol. xxix., folio 36, I
hereby give notice that I intend to issue a provisional certificate of title for the said land, in the name of the said
Robert Carr, unless caveat be lodged in this office forbidding
the same within fourteen days of the publication hereof in
the Gazette.

WHEREAS under the provisions of "The Pharmacy
Act, 1880," and of the regulations made thereunder,
I, the undersigned JOHN ENGLISH, was appointed Registrar
on the 10th day of February, 1890: And whereas, under
the provisions of the said Act and regulations thereunder,
the Registrar shall conduct the election of members of the
Pharmacy Board of New Zealand. A vacancy has occurred
through the resignation of Edward S. Ellisdon:
Notice is hereby given that it is my intention to proceed
to the election of one person, being a registered Pharmaceutical Chemist of New Zealand, resident in the Dunedin
District, to serve as a member of the Pharmacy Board of
New Zealand, in place of Edward S. Ellisdon, resigned; such
person elected to serve until the next triennial election, and
no longer. The 16th day of January, 1891, is the day fixed
for nominations. Nomination-papers, in statutory form,
must be lodged or delivered by post at the office of the
Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, 95, Princes Street,
Dunedin, before 4 o'clock in the afternoon of the day next
preceding the day fixed for nominations. Should there be a
greater number of persons nominated than the number of
persons required to fill such vacancy, a poll will be taken on
the 29th day of January, 1891.

In the matter of a Bill intituled "An Act to further amend
'The New Zealand Bank Act, 1861.'"

NOTICE is hereby given that the Bank of New Zealand
intends to present a petition to the General Assembly
of New Zealand, at its next session, praying for leave to
introduce a Bill to be intituled "An Act to further amend
'The New Zealand Bank Act, 1861.'"
The object of the said Bill is to confirm and validate certain
resolutions passed at the half-yearly general meeting
of the proprietors of the said bank, held in London on the
28th day of August, 1890, and confirmed at a special general
meeting of said proprietors, also held in London on the 18th
day of September, 1890.
The following is a copy of the resolutions above referred
to:—

  1. "That the £1 15s. per share of the existing shares in
    the capital of the bank numbered 1 to 100,000 inclusive, and
    £2 10s. per share of the shares in the same capital numbered
    100,001 to 150,000 inclusive, be and the same respectively
    are hereby cancelled, such capital having been lost or being
    unrepresented by available assets; and that henceforth
    dividends shall be paid on the first-mentioned shares as
    representing £5 5s. each, instead of £7 each; and on the
    secondly-mentioned shares as representing £7 10s. each,
    instead of £10 each: but such reduction shall not interfere
    with or in any way alter the liability of shareholders to
