Ngamohi.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a sitting of the Native Land Court to be held at Gisborne on the 6th day of April, 1891, will be heard the application of R. C. Hamerton, the Public Trustee, made at the request of Hamana Tiakiwai, acting for himself and his whole tribe, that a parcel of land, containing 425 acres, more or less, and marked on the plan of Ohuia No. 2 as Ngamohi, may be brought under the operation of “The Native Reserves Act, 1882,” for the purpose of management; and that the Court may make such order, declaring upon what trusts or purposes the said land shall be vested in the Public Trustee as to the Court may seem fit and proper; and that the Court may determine the list of the beneficiaries in respect of the said land, and also their proportionate individual shares.

Nuhaka No. 2 Block.
WHEREAS it has been ordered by the Supreme Court that the Native Land Court do inquire and ascertain who were the persons who, upon the 1st day of May, 1878, were the owners of the Nuhaka No. 2 Block, and in what proportion such persons owned the said land, and who are the successors of such of the owners who have since died; such reference to proceed upon the basis of a certain agreement, dated the 28th day of December, 1887, lodged in the office of the Supreme Court at Gisborne:
Notice is hereby given that, at a sitting to be held at Gisborne on the 6th day of April, 1891, the Court will make the said inquiry and ascertainment.

THE case above mentioned is to be dealt with by the Court under an Order in Council dated the 19th day of August, 1890, declaring that it shall be within the jurisdiction of the Native Land Court to ascertain and determine which of the descendants of Te Whatanui are entitled, and in what proportions, to a share in the said block of land, and to make such order or orders in that behalf as the nature of the case may require.
