(Hydrographic Notice No. 3.)
THE master of the barque “Notero” reports a ledge of rocks, “on which his ship struck,” extending a mile west from the N.W. point of Howland Island. Care should be taken when navigating in the vicinity of this island, as little is at present known of it.
