Rural Lands in the Taranaki Land District open for Sale or Selection.
ONSLOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

Governors of New Zealand Institute appointed.
ONSLOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by "The New Zealand Institute Act, 1867," provision is made for the appointment of members of a Board of Governors of the New Zealand Institute, and it is enacted that, on the first day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, and on the first day of November in each succeeding year, three members of the said Board of Governors shall retire from office, but shall be eligible for reappointment: And whereas the Honourable Walter Baldock Durant Mantell, William Thomas Locke Travers, Esquire, and Thomas Mason, Esquire, three of the members of the said Board of Governors, have retired from office, and are eligible for reappointment under the provisions of the said Act: And whereas by the said Act it is also provided that, on the annual retirement of three members as aforesaid, the successors of such retiring members shall be appointed by the Governor:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in that behalf vested in me by the said Act, do hereby reappoint
