Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Otago, and Westland.

ONSLLOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Otago, and Westland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 29 perches, more or less, being the south-west portion of Lot No. 9, Section No. 10, Suburbs of Auckland. Bounded on the north by other portion of Lot No. 9 aforesaid, 373 links; thence on the east by other portion of Lot No. 9 aforesaid, 2495 links; thence on the south by Albert Avenue, 373 links; and on the west by Mount Roskill Road, 249·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. For a site for a public hall.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Section No. 34A of Block XII., Pakiri Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 175, 355, and 375 links; towards the south by Section No. 34 of Block XII. aforesaid, 646 links; and towards the north-west and west generally by a public road, 418, 174, and 211 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for a cemetery.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Section No. 7A of Block II., Waihi South Survey District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 709 links; towards the east by a public road 117 and 497 links, and by a road reserve 400 links; towards the south by Section No. 7 of Block II. aforesaid, 388 links; and towards the west by said Section No. 7, 854 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school-site.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Section No. 27A of Block I., Mahurangi Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 38 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 34 of Block XII., Pakiri Survey District, 881 links; towards the south-east generally by a public road, 34, 205, 189, 176, 94, and 90 links; towards the south by Section No. 27 of Block I., Mahurangi Survey District, 378 links; and towards the west by said Section No. 27, 511 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a quarry reserve.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Allotment No. 1 of Section No. 34 of the Town of Taupo, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by a line, 566 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 354 links; towards the south-west by Allotments Nos. 3 and 2 of Section No. 34 aforesaid, 566 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 354 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For post and telegraph purposes.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Allotment No. 2 of Section No. 34 of the Town of Taupo, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 12 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment No. 1 of Section No. 34, 290 links; towards the south-east by Allotment No. 3 of the same section, 290 links; towards the south-west by Lake Terrace, 200 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 200 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school-site.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being Section No. 233 of the Parish of Komakorau, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east generally by the Komakorau River; towards the south-east by land granted to the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, 375 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 652 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 264 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for a cemetery.

HAWKE’S BAY.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 8, 14, and 15, Village of Tiniroto. Bounded on the north by the Gisborne-Wairoa Road, 400 links; on the east by Sections No. 13 (school reserve) 500 links, and Section No. 9 500 links; on the south by a public road, 400 links; on the west by Section No. 16 500 links, and Section No. 7 (municipal reserve) 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Napier. For recreation.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section No. 13, Village of Tiniroto. Bounded on the north by the Gisborne-Wairoa Road, 400 links; on the east by Section No. 12, 500 links; on the south by Section No. 9, 400 links; on the west by Section No. 14 (part recreation reserve), 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Napier. For a school-site.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 11 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 5, 6, 7, and 21, Village of Tiniroto. Bounded on the north by Sections Nos. 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 879·3 links, and the Gisborne-Wairoa Road 200 links; on the east by Section No. 20 500 links, and Section No. 8 500 links; on the south by a public road, 849·2 links; on the west by a public road, 1000 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Napier. For municipal purposes.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block IX., Uawa Survey District. Bounded on the north and east by the Whakaironga Stream; on the south by Run No. 42A, 688 links; on the west by Run No. 42A, 835 links; thence crossing a public road 153 links, again by Run No. 42A 336 and 60 links to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Napier. For a school-site.

WELLINGTON.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 10 acres and 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block XV., Mangaone Survey District. Bounded on the north by Section No. 200; on the south-east by a public road; on the south-west by a stream; on the west and south-west by a stream and a public road: excepting the public road passing through the said section: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For a school-site.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 36 perches, more or less, being Part 7, Section No. 3, Carterton-Tiffin Survey District. Bounded on the north and east by Part 4 of Section No. 3; on the south by Part 3 of Section No. 3; on the west by a public road: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For municipal buildings.

OTAGO.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less, situate in the Warepa District, and being Section No. 13 of Block VIII., Warepa District. Bounded on the north by Crown lands, 900 links; on the east by Crown lands and Section No. 3 of same block, 603 links; on the south by road reserve, 900 links; on the west by Crown lands, 603 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Dunedin. For a site for a cemetery.

WESTLAND.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Westland, containing 5 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 305 (in red), Block I., on the map of the Poerua Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the Okarito Road; towards the east by Section No. 161, 1000 links; towards the south by other part of Section No. 161, 500 links; and towards the west by other part of Section No. 161, 1000 links. For a school-site.
