Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days
from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the
manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act,
and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

This notification will revoke so much of the notification
dated the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-six (published in Gazette No. 36, of the
first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
six), as relates to the sections enumerated in the Schedule
hereto.

Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, and Westland.

ONSLOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh
section of "The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been sur-
veyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding
that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Land Districts of Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury,
and Westland, described in the Schedule hereunder written,
for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland,
being Section No. 667 of the Town of Ngaruawahia, containing
by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less.
Bounded towards the north-east by a curved line, being the
south-western boundary of land reserved for the Waikato
Railway; towards the south-east by Ellery Street, 560 links;
towards the south-west by Herschel Street, 588 links; and
towards the north-west by Kepler Street, 398 links, to the
point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more
or less. For recreation.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland,
being Section No. 76, Block IX., Waoku Survey District, con-
taining by admeasurement 7 acres 3 roods, more or less.
Bounded towards the north generally by a public road, 347,
344, 137, 180, and 30 links; towards the south-east by the
Taita River; towards the south-west by the Waimamaku
River; and towards the north-west by a public road, 90 and
770 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less. For a school-site.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland,
being Section No. 34, Block IX., Waoku Survey District, con-
taining by admeasurement 12 acres 3 roods, more or less.
Bounded towards the north by Section No. 35, Block IX.
aforesaid, 1487 links; towards the south-east by a public road,
330, 399, 307, 189, and 510 links; and towards the south-
west generally by a public road, 299, 296, 455, and 309 links,
to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. For a school-site.

WELLINGTON.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington,
containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 16 perches, more
or less, being Section No. 95, Block II., Paikakariki Survey
District. Bounded on the north by a public road; on the
south-east by Section No. 94; and on the south-west by
Section No. 84: intersected by a public road: as the same
is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief
Surveyor, Wellington. For a school reserve.

CANTERBURY.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury,
containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 2729 (in red), situate in Block X., Shepherd's
Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the south-east by
Section No. 33104; towards the south-west by Crown lands;
and towards the north-west by the continuation of the road
passing between Sections No. 31687 and 32633: as the same
is delineated on the map deposited in the District Survey
Office, Christchurch. For a school-site.

Note.—This area includes 2 acres reserved temporarily,
16th November, 1886, Gazette, 18th November, 1886, page
1468, and permanently, 17th January, 1887, Gazette, 27th
January, 1887, page 137.

All that parcel of land adjoining the south boundary of
the Borough of Timaru, containing by admeasurement 1 rood,
more or less. Bounded towards the northward by the South
Town Belt, 250 links; towards the eastward by the extension
of the Cemetery Reserve 122 (in red), 100 links; towards the
southward by Lot No. 117, subdivision of Rural Section No.
1706, 250 links; and towards the westward by the Timaru
South Town Belt, 100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. For an extension of the Timaru Cemetery
Reserve 122 (in red).

WESTLAND.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Westland,
containing 5 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 303 (in
red), Block XIII., on the map of the Hohonui Survey Dis-
trict, having frontage to road along the north-east boundaries
of Sections Nos. 25 and 52, and extending from said frontage
in a north-easterly direction. Bounded towards the south-
west by said road; and towards the north-west, north-east,
and south-east by Crown lands. For a school-site.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Westland,
containing 3 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Reserve No.
304 (in red), Block IX., on the map of the Gillespie's Survey
District. Bounded towards the north-east by the Gillespie's
to Cook's River Road; and towards the north-west, south-
west, and south-east by Crown lands. For a school-site.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-first day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety.

Lands permanently reserved.

ONSLOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of "The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the Governor
may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the two hundred and twenty-eighth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily
reserved under the said two hundred and twenty-seventh section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than
six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that
notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:

And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the warrants the dates of which
are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of which were published in the Gazette
specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes specified
in the second column of the said Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily
