Returning Officers appointed.
ONSLOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor may appoint such Returning Officers, clerks, and other officers as may be required to carry the provisions of the said Act into execution, and that every person so appointed shall hold office during the Governor’s pleasure:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby appoint the under-mentioned persons to be Returning Officers for the election of members of the House of Representatives for the electoral district placed opposite to their respective names:—

Polling-places for General Assembly Elections appointed.
ONSLOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time appoint, alter, and abolish polling-places for each electoral district within the limits thereof, and may appoint any one of such polling-places to be the principal polling-place of the district, and that no polling-place shall be appointed unless the Governor shall be first satisfied that the place to be appointed is more convenient than any other for at least twenty electors to record their votes thereat:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be polling-places and principal polling-places for the electoral districts therein specified.
