Alterations in Ridings and Representation, County of Hawera.

ONSLLOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by “The Stratford County Act, 1890,” a portion of the County of Hawera was included within the boundaries of the new County of Stratford, and it is expedient to alter and redefine the ridings in the said County of Hawera, and to fix the number of Councillors to be elected for each such ridings:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Counties Act, 1886,” do hereby declare that the County of Hawera shall be divided into four ridings, to be called the Waimate Riding, the Hawera Riding, the Eltham Riding, and the Mokoia Riding; and that the boundaries of the said ridings shall be those described in the Schedule hereto; and further that the number of Councillors to be elected for such ridings shall be as follows: For the Waimate Riding, five Councillors; for the Hawera Riding, two Councillors; for the Eltham Riding, one Councillor; and for the Mokoia Riding, one Councillor.

SCHEDULE.

WAIMATE Riding comprises all that area within the boundaries of the Road District of Waimate, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

Hawera Riding comprises all that area within the boundaries of the Hawera Riding, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 6, 27th January, 1888.

Eltham Riding is bounded towards the north by Stratford County; towards the east generally by Patea County; towards the south-west by the confiscation boundary-line to the Tangahoe Stream; thence towards the south-east by the said Tangahoe Stream to its confluence with the Mangimangi Stream; thence again towards the south-west by the last-mentioned stream to Section No. 165, Block VI., Hawera Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 165 and Section No. 164 to Austin Road, and thence by that road to the Waingongoro; and thence towards the north-west by that river to the said Stratford County.

Mokoia Riding comprises all that area within the boundaries of the Riding of Mokoia, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 6, 27th January, 1888.

Trustees appointed for the Control of the Old Mission Cemetery at Tauranga.

ONSLLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

Names of Trustees. Name of Public Cemetery, and Description of Land.
Lieut.-Colonel G. D. Dorvile. OLD MISSION CEMETERY, TAURANGA. All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being part of Lot No. 1 of Section No. 1 of the Town of Tauranga, and containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the east by Tauranga Harbour; towards the south-east by Lot No. 298 of Section No. 1 of the Town of Tauranga, 580 links; and towards the north-west generally by Cliff Road, 251, 637, 240, and 447 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Trustees appointed for the Control of the Lepperton Public Cemetery.

ONSLLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

Names of Trustees. Name of Public Cemetery, and Description of Land.
George Hall. LEPPERTON. All that parcel of land in the Land District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Sections Nos. 2 and 3, Township of Manutahi. Bounded towards the north by Barton Street; towards the east by Section No. 4; towards the south by Cross Street; and towards the west by Section No. 1.

Trustee appointed for the Riwaka Cemetery.

ONSLLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint ALEXANDER DRUMMOND to be a Trustee, in the place of Charles P. Pattie, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Riwaka Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the seventeenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-third day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

James Robertson. MANGERE. All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 3 roods 12 perches, more or less, being Section No. 45 of the suburbs of the Village of Mangere; commencing at the westernmost part of said section. Bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 43 and 44, 326 and 1050 links; towards the south-east by a road, 2202·7 links; towards the south by a road, 101 links; and towards the west by a road, 804·4 and 1586·3 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a cemetery reserve.
