6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the mem-
bers may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a

votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

Vesting Reserves in the Mangere Road Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of October, 1890.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
were reserved for recreation and water, quarry and
water, and a quarry respectively: And whereas, in the
opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said
reserves in the Mangere Road Board :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said re-
serves shall become vested in the Mangere Road Board, in
trust, for recreation and water, quarry and water, and
quarry reserves respectively.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland,
containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods 26 perches,
more or less, being Section No. 48 of the Village of Mangere;
commencing at the northernmost point of said section.
Bounded towards the north-east by a road, 251 links;
towards the east by a road, 979 links; towards the south-east
by a road, 1069·6 links; and towards the north-west by a
road, 1349 links, to the commencing-point: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less. For a recreation and water
reserve.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland,
containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods, more or less,
being Section No. 57 of the suburbs of the Village of Mangere;
commencing at the westernmost point of said section.
Bounded towards the north-west by a line, 442·7 links;
towards the north-east by a line, 804·8 links; towards the
south-east by a creek; and towards the south-west by. the
termination of the road, by a line, the termination of a road,
and by a line, 1136 links, to the commencing-point: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a quarry and water
reserve:
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland,
containing by admeasurement 13 acres 1 rood, more or less,
being Section No. 202 of the Parish of Manurewa; commen-
ing at the westernmost point of said section. Bounded
towards the north by a line, 898·7 links; towards the north-
east by a road, 471·4 and 712·8 links; towards the south-east
by a road, 904·8 links; and towards the south-west by a road
and Section No. 200, 787 and 762 links, to the point of com-
mencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For
a quarry reserve.

Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale
or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land
Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said
Act”), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the
Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days
from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the
manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act,
and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

Description of Land: Very poor undulating land, covered
with short fern and tea-tree. Each section has a little

Description of Land: Section 43, generally open land,
with about 50 acres flat, a little forest, and high tea-tree in
the gullies, bounded by main coach-road and Okura Creek;
53 to 56 are open land, with tea-tree and remains of bush
in the gullies. Accessible by Great North Road, and close
to Okura Settlement.
Waitemata County.—Kaipara Survey District.

Description of Land: All these sections are undulating
sandy lands, covered with scrubby manuka, and watered by
small fresh-water lakes. The soil is third class. The sec-
tions are about six miles from Helensville, on west coast.
UNSURVEYED LAND.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Hokianga County.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
situate in the Waoku and Hokianga Survey Districts, and
containing approximately 1,650 acres. Bounded towards
the north-east by the Whakatahataha No. 2 and No. 1
Blocks; towards the north-west by the Whakatahataha
No. 1 Block aforesaid; again towards the north-east by the
Pahake or Whirinaki Block; towards the south by the
Pakanae No. 4 Block and by the Hokianga Harbour; and
towards the west generally by the Oharotu Block, by the
Hokianga Harbour, by the Koutu Mongero Block and the
Okeriteki Block, again by the Hokianga Harbour, by the
Waione Block, and again by the Hokianga Harbour to the
point of commencement: save and except Section No. 1 of
Block III., Hokianga Survey District, from the area herein-
before described.
Description of Land: Half open, covered with fern and
tea-tree, remainder mixed forest land, very broken, clay soil.
Price, 10s. per acre.

this twenty-third day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety.
