  1. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  2. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  3. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Tuesday in December in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

  4. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

  5. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

  6. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land called or known as the Hot Springs Reserve, situate in Block IX., Te Aroha Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, and containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 1 of the Town of Te Aroha, and by land hereafter to be granted to Rina Mokena and others, 1818 links; towards the north-east by land hereafter to be granted to Rina Mokena and others aforesaid, 1100 links; towards the south-east by land hereafter to be granted to Rina Mokena and others aforesaid, 1818 links; and towards the south-west by Whitaker Street, 1100 links, to the point of commencement; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of October, 1890.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Frasertown Public Domain Board, namely,—

WILLIAM GOLDSTONE,
THOMAS JOHN TUNKS,
ARTHUR STEED,
FREDERICK PARKER, and
JOHN COUPER

(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

  1. ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 31 acres 2 roods 14 perches, more or less, being Lot No. 152, Town of Frasertown, Wairoa, Taramarama Survey District, Land District of Auckland. Bounded towards the north-east by a street, 1250 links; towards the south-east by a street, 2436 links; towards the south by a street, 1260 links; and towards the north-west by a street, 2598 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Vesting a Reserve in the Waipawa County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of October, 1890.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was reserved for a gravel-pit: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be vested in the Waipawa County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Waipawa County, in trust, for a gravel-pit.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section No. 144, Block VI., Norsewood Survey District. Bounded on the north by Section No. 23, 504·4 links; on the east by Section No. 23, 1406·5 links; on the south by the Napier–Woodville Road, 1103·9 links; and on the west by Section No. 23, 610 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Napier.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto were reserved for gravel and quarry purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Weber Road Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserves shall become vested in the Weber Road Board, in trust, for gravel and quarry purposes.
